White Lotus Season 3 - meh.
Nowhere near as good as the previous two seasons.

Quote from: Gabriel_Hurl on April 09, 2025, 02:13:22 AMAnyone know why BBC have only aired 3 episodes of their Kinahan doc on iPlayer.

It says the 4th and final epsiode will be shown "at a later date" - why did they bother releasing the first 3 in that case?

I was surmising some sort of legal challenge to the content, unlikely tho

I think I also heard/read it would be released on 14th after the third one airs so let's see if I made that up 🤭

Watched the first episode of Black Mirror there... Common People

I thought it was brilliant!! Mildly believable and then plunging into darkness. Great cast too.

Looking forward to the next few.

Read an interview with the creator yesterday - given the rapidly expanding shit show that is our world, he thinks there is no end in sight for the series.

First I heard of a new season of Black Mirror, unreal news!

Halfway through This City is Ours - brilliant so far.

Have 3 more in the bag.

Bete Noire - decent watch if a bit far fetched
Plaything - same as above not as good as Common People

Eulogy was excellent. A very believable and emotional storyline. Paul Giamatti is brilliant in it definitely one of the better episodes.

Should get Hotel Reverie in this evening and hopefully US Callister 2 over the weekend. The first Callister seemed to be a big hit although I wasn't a huge fan I'd imagine it's a similar tale.

Milltown Row2

Watching Your friends & Neighbours on Apple, first episode pretty good
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Aye Neighbours is class. Really fancied Libby.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Aye it was good. Missus fell asleep as is standard so didn't even go looking for a 2nd episode.

Jon Hamm is always a good watch regardless, but that was a fun start. Hope it keeps it up.

Mobland is alright - a good cast but feel it is just going to be much the same as the rest in the genre.

Brosnan and Mirren's accents make it lose any shred of credibility it might have had. Shocking!

The Bureau
I made the mistake of watching the Fassbender version of Le Bureau and the storyline appears practically identical.
Nothing (no remake) could interfere with appreciation of the original Le Bureau tv drama series.

Accents aside, I like it.
