Milltown Row2

Quote from: RedHand88 on March 28, 2025, 07:10:32 AMCurrently watching the crown as well as the last few seasons of game of thrones.
One is a story about a family of power hungry psychopaths who would do anything to stay in power. The other show is game of thrones.

In all seriousness im enjoying the crown, very interesting show. Just don't tell my parents.

If you like history or sorry a take on their history its very good, I'd be interested in all types of history shows, sometimes difficult to take out the negative we probably have towards the monarchy here though
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

I am wondering how accurate alot of the stuff away from public life is, it seems to portray them very well so far (only on season 1), and it's hard to know if it's based on reality.

Quote from: ONeill on March 27, 2025, 11:46:37 PMI thought it was brilliant. It'll go downhill from here as Bob and Richard the creme.

We watched a bit of the Irish one and it was complete shite!

Just finished Adolescence - lives up to the hype. Brilliant albeit disturbing. That kid with the social worker... frightening. And the father one scene in particular.. don't want to spoil but if you have children.. heartbreak.

Total shite.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Quote from: screenexile on March 27, 2025, 10:19:21 PMWatched Last one Laughs on Prime there. I wouldn't normally be one for that kind of format but some of it was comedy gold.

If you can't watch it all search for Bob Mortimers magic show and Joe Wilkinson's RNLI talk on Twitter.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea but we got some great laughs out of it!

I lost it when he done the songs for Daisy, it and the magic show were hilarious

This City is Ours on BBC. Liverpool based crime drama.  Their version of Kin, sort of.  It's pretty good and well worth a watch.

Saorse Monica Jackson doing a Liverpool accent though...

A bit late to the party but eventually got a chance to watch Adolescense on Netflix at the weekend.

Unbelievable show, scary stuff but real to.

A bit of exaggeration but at times you can not help but think that in certain parts of the world the youth of today are f@#ked.

Society / technology has changed so much in 10 years, God knows what it will be like in another 10 years time.

Had experience of teaching in England and episode two brought back a lot of memories.

I know a lot of good schools in the north that struggle to fill vacancies.  You can only imagine what it is like in them sort of schools i.e. those portrayed in Adolescense, trying to recruit teachers, no disrespect to the profession but they probably end up getting what is at the bottom of the barrel and that no doubt only compounds things in a negative way.

Milltown Row2

When someone says no disrespect, it's pure shite!
