f**k me! Not one of the 8, well, go you.

Do we have the age thread poll that goes to 10 year olds?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

The precedent was set with Kildare yrs ago. Was always gonna rear it's head down the line. Always thought it be Meath looking to play Dublin in Navan sometime.

Ok
I'll try and use small words so you can understand.

Unfortunately if there is a settlement it will be the GAA who foot the bill for any costs.

The players acted against the expressed will of the GAA but will face zero repercussions for their actions.

Assume you refer to me.

Not many 10 year olds attended their first Armagh game in 1975.

Repercussions isn't a small word.

It's a hobby. Nobody is obliged to do anything. "Expressed will" of the GAA or otherwise.

Quote from: David McKeown on March 29, 2025, 10:41:47 AMI agree entirely that it's embarrassing but with my legal head on there's a very strong argument that it's a clear breach of contract case. So I'd expect a quiet settlement.

I'm not 1 of the 8 but wish them every success.
As I've posted many times I've absolutely no time for the argument that the players had "a right" to a home game.

My only regret is that it will be the Association and not the players  who end up settling.

I've said it before but it bears repeating,  if Antrim had any chance of winning anything the players would not have been nearly as militant but throwing them out of the competition would have meant nothing.

As an Armagh supporter and season ticket holder of many years, I'd like to nominate this post by Armaghtothebone as the most ridiculous post of the year and we're only in March!  Catch a grip fella/lassie! Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're only a kid, I suggest you get your parents permission next time before posting nonsense.

You're a fool. The people taking legal action are fools, and like you are not proper Gaels.

Fools yes but not proper Gaels?  We know nothing about the personal circumstances of any one involved. Also I'm not sure there's a criteria to be a "proper" Gael.

While my preference would always be for Antrim to get a home venue and as a season ticket holder from the start I would never be one of the 8 I find the embarrassing thing here is that so many have jumped on a poster who suggests a different view. What is the use of a forum if alternative views are treated this way?

Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.
