Round or stuffed

Quote from: YoungSaff on March 10, 2025, 09:20:25 AMAny predictions for the league i will list mine below hopefully this catches on will be interesting to see !

Div 1 Winners - St Bridgits
Div 1- Relegated (from League) - Aldergrove

Div 2 Winners - St Endas
Div 2 Relegated - Gort Na Mona

Div 3 Winners - St Agnes

I predict different championship results however I can see the league panning out this way .

What's the basis for aldergrove over the likes of st Pauls getting relegated.

likewise, will st enda's be a force in intermediate after a damp squib of a year previously. will comghalls not be favourites for the drop, how are Rasharkin going, rumours all not well in davitts, same with sarsfields.

Agnes' a good shout for junior championship, surely Ardoyne are favourites for the league though

imtommygunn

Would Dunloy not pretty much be raging hot favourites to get relegated? (Though I guess if they have their main men back for playoffs that would help then.)

Take the Mark

I think it could be any of 4 or 5 teams to go down. Dunloy could be in that mix. I wouldn't be ruling out seeing Lamh Dhearg down round the bottom. Their season ended pitifully in last years semi final, not sure what they will have to add to that side - they might lose men from it if anything.

Ahoghill are a side who keep pulling it out of the bag to beat the drop too - that might change some time soon with low numbers and aging players. Glenravel will certainly struggle for wins without their county men too.

belfastsaff

st galls vs rossa probably the pick of the games, hopefully make the spin over to it. Crazy to think that their are more 'bad' teams than 'good' in division 1.

LD could struggle hearing of 4 retirements with nothing to come behind. take out the county men they are down to the bare bones.

likewise in division 2 I think any of 5 teams at the top could win it and say of the 5 at the bottom could be relegated when it comes to the split, would love to hear the argument why Gort are favourite for the chop, is it purely down to last years results, I think we've seen when it comes to intermediate past performance definetely ins't an indicator for future results

What sort of predictions are these complete and utter guesses, most likely a few picks to get under some people's skin, can we get some reasons to these picks!!

belfastsaff

Struggle to see anyone else but St Endas go up from division 2 after unfairly going down. Moneyglass who are the other team down have one of their worst teams in years, Davits no where near it, Gorts the same as are the Super Ts.

this was my judgement for Dunloy not being relegated , I think they will be good once they get all their lads out and if it came to a relegation play off they would be fine

I just think St Endas will have that bit of quality with the likes of Nagle who could be a real handful in div 2

I think we will hold our own in Div 2 after a good junior championship last year if we get off to a good start , however we would likely be favs for the drop just did not want to say our own guys :)

Ardoyne could be favs I just think St Agnes could come good this year !!

that is true it seems very open teams will be scrambling for points in an attempt to avoid the relegation play offs , it will be interesting to see how it pans out

For Gort i just had heard chat they had lost a few men from last year , and also basing off last year , however if they can get together i think they could be safe , you just wonder is the hunger there for them compared to the likes of newly promoted teams

Agreed , i think St Endas will have too much quality for the rest of teams , however sarsfields on their day are as good as any and Lisburn a dark horse team which may come good this year.

Typical city men picking the teams up the m2 all league winners from up there catch a grip,

Aldergrove could be dangerous with the new rules they have a few real good forwards could cause havoc against some teams.

And as for moneyglass 1/2 bad years and your writing them off, they still have a few real good players and a drop in leagues could see them get the confidence back and put a lot of points on the board and maybe scrap theirway back up.

A real disrespect to aldergrove and moneyglass

Gaels , catch a grip of yourself I was previously a city man but i side in the SW you eejit , nobodys fault that most the football is played up the m2 , Aldergrove will be in the relegation scramble and moneyglass will struggle in division 2 with the physicality some of them lads are too green they played our lads last week and won well in fairness but i dont see them being competitive when push comes to shove
