Banks of the Bann

The reporter who asked Zelenskyy is he ever wore a suit is the boyfriend of Majorie Taylor Greene apparently.

Vance grinning away during that while Marco Rubio looks like the he just wishes the earth would just swallow him up.

Quote from: Mourne Red on February 28, 2025, 08:02:10 PMWatched the interview/altercation... I think Zelenskyy starting to dig into say the Americans done nothing in 2014 and through following administrations up to 2022 was clean buck stupid. Of course Trumps going to slap him down.

On Vance - Starting to get notions of himself, never seen a VP have a go at another foreign leader like that before. Needs to know his role and stand in the back

What press conference did you watch?

He was trying to explain, after being lectured by Vance (who knows f**k all about anything) about diplomacy, that diplomacy with Putin is useless. Trump couldn't even get the year right. Vance thought it was 'disrespectful' for Zelenskyy to try to put forward his point of view. Astounding arrogance and ignorance all at once.

And he was right, Russia marched into Ukraine in 2014 and the US (Obama) did f**k all. That wasn't even the main thrust of his argument, it was about the lack of trust in Putin.

As for saying thanks - Zelenskyy has done nothing but say thanks to the US these past 3 years.

I think Trump was always going to f**k Ukraine over so it's better it's out in the open again. Europe was probably given false hope again after Starmer's visit yesterday.

Same one as you did he started into the US which when you're out with the begging pot isn't something smart to do.

And yes the US did nothing when Crimea was annexed but he was right in what he said Trump did provide arms to Ukraine which Obama didn't (source - https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/trump-admin-approves-sale-anti-tank-weapons-ukraine/story?id=65989898)

Either way it's all a joke. Trumps spa tariffs have put him in a hard place and he's trying to blackmail minerals out of Ukraine for free which is why Zelenskyy won't sign the deal - My guess is Trump will blink first, US have all the contracts to rebuild Ukraine and pressure will be put on within to get it sorted and fill the US pockets

So Trump wants Ukraine to surrender all the captured territory to Russia, have no future security and hand over billions or trillions worth of minerals?
That's a great deal.

U had 2 dicks trying to shout a man down after a invite to the white house. A national leader, i even doubt Hitler didnt rant and rave at foreign leaders like this. It's funny this done in front of the cameras and the Russian meeting top secret. Trump been got at, but that doesn't explain the dumb fucks round him. I don't think your man had said zero outta turn,

Very easy to bully and shout over someone whose first language is not english. I'm sure the Magatards loved it though.

Saying nobody stopped Putin invading Ukraine in 2014 isn't 'starting into the US', it's factual and he was only saying it as a preamble to his main point, that Putin broke all ceasefire deals.

p.s. Asking the US to honour their commitment to Ukraine after taking their nuclear weapons is not begging.

A huge mistake. I'd be surprised if Ukraine aren't already working on a nuclear programme.

As a United fan you wouldn't know a big pile about deals to be fair.

To me Zelenskyy lost his diplomatic decorum really badly when you see the lead in to the exchange with Vance. I can appreciate some things said by Vance and Trump would be triggering to him but in Ukraines position his inability to bite his tongue and save it for closed door discussions I expect will be something he will regret.

Maybe, but it's about time someone called out Trump on his bullying and lies and insults.
I hope Europe stands up (and statements tonight suggest they will) and makes it clear that Europe will stay the course with Ukraine, even now that America is no longer an ally.

Wrong as usual but no surprise given your pro-Russian and general pro-authoritarian leanings. I think you'll grow to love Trump as his administration progresses, I really do.

Zelenskyy was polite and calm when making the point that Putin cannot be trusted. Vance and Trump were shouting. Ridiculous for Vance to state that someone presenting an alternative point of view is being disrespectful.

I also think they were determined not to be fact checked again after the humiliations by Macron and Starmer earlier in the week.

I see there has been a few leaders of European countries who have spoke out for Ukraine. There needs to be more of this. Surely The US are putting themselves in a poor position globally. Is there anyone outside the US and Russia that thinks this is positive for the US by alienating Europe.

I don't think he say anything outta line. He pointed out a mineral deal, with no security doesn't make sense. Russia is the invader but u have to give up all concessions, Russia f**k all. Got to remember USA invaded Iraq to get at oil reserves.

Very little respect shown by the Americans towards the Ukrainians astvthis time. Ukraine are in a weak position at the moment so they are an easy target for this verbal attack ... Putin deserves the same if not a stronger verbal attack from trump and vance but they wouldn't verbally attack the Russians in this manner...
