Incredible that 77M Americans also supported this craziness.

Whitey's point is that the Democrats were so shit and corrupt as well that it made Trump electable and it's hard to argue with that.

Whiteys point is to justify voting for a brainless megalomaniac who violently threatened the overthrow of an election and is doing his utmost to subvert democracy.

Stephen A Smith-probably the best known sports commentator in the country summed it up perfectly (He's African American BTW)

"The man (Donald Trump) was impeached twice, he was convicted on 34 felony counts and the American people still said 'he's closer to normal than what we see on the left'

That's my point

Well then we are in complete agreement, you and 77 million other Americans are completely fuckin mad voting for a rapist because he is a racist.

Taylor

Rarely post in this thread given its like a madhouse most of the time.

However I did read a piece that was written about Trump going for presidency and thought it made sense (could have been written before his first term but point remains). The reason I was reading up was because I was trying to understand why some of my work colleagues would vote for Trump

The piece went that the American voting public could be like the passengers onboard United Airlines Flight 93.They know they are in trouble either way - allow the plane to continue and they will crash into somewhere DC which will cause untold death on the ground along with the passengers or try an over power the hijackers and crash and somewhere thus reducing civilian deaths.

So the American public just think Trump is the lesser of two evils. Many voters thought the country was going too far left in its current guise so voted to stop what they see as madness.

It is amazing that a country with over 350m has got to this.
Imagine Trump being the leader of the free world - how fucked up does your country have to be that you think he is the only solution to the direction you are taking?

No it's not.

The Republicans had lots of options other than Trump and the fiasco currently underway.

It's absolutely f**king laughable that whitey would blame Dems because Jell O Biafra's kids and classmates are traumatized by the fact that armed law enforcement agents could show up at school to take friends away, never to be seen again.

It wasn't an either/or option. We could have had DeSantis, Rubio, Christie, Haley etc., all of whom would have beaten Harris handily enough and would have been immigration hardliners.

The GOP base WANT this. End of f**king story.

Think about it for a moment

He fomented an insurrection

He is on tape joking about sexual assault

He has been charged with sexual assault

Abortion rights are under threat all
Across the country

The Democratic nominee is a woman

And yet, despite all that, 53% of white women still voted for Trump.

Vast swaths of the population believe absolutely nothing they read or hear in the media (especially as it pertains to Trump)

The Democrats are now the party who are borderline, scratch that.......flat out insane

The types of people who Eamonn would vote for, and the Democratic Party in general to a lesser extent,  hold positions that are so far outside the mainstream that Trump is a viable alternative

Think about that

If there hadn't been wide open borders for 3 1/2 years Trump would never have been re-elected

The Democratic candidate he was up against was the so called "Border Czar".....a clown who couldn't answer a straight question about anything......never mind the border

They hid Joe and covered for him for 4 years , then anointed Kamala who was such a bad candidate in 2020 she dropped out before the primaries even started

But hey-Doug Emhoffs daughter.....the model with the hairy armpits....was sporting a Camo Baseball Cap.....and that was really reasonating with male voters in swing states

Did the Democrats and republicans not have agreement on a Border bill until Trump decided he wanted to make political capital out of it and swayed republicans to reject it?

Quote from: Jell 0 Biafra on February 18, 2025, 02:08:46 AMKids in my area who were born here are afraid to go to school in case ICE shows up and deports them.  My own kid is in tears in case his friends are deported.

This is where we are.

Jell,
are you not under the microscope as well or do you have citizenship?

I'm a naturalized citizen, JC, so not yet under the microscope. Though there has been some talk about revoking naturalization in some cases, so who knows.

Jell 0 Biafra

Look, there's plenty to be mad at Democrats about (genocide, abandoning the Rust Belt working classes in favor of courting big tech (how's that working out?), not forcing through their own policies when Obama had control of both houses of congress, but instead ludicrously looking for bipartisanship, not getting Biden offside sooner).

But this idea of open borders is an utter fiction. No senior Democrat has ever proposed it as a policy.  And, as noted upthread, Biden and Congressional Republicans had an agreement on new border security measures until Trump told these spineless lickspittles to abandon that agreement so that he could use it as an electioneering point (which they of course did).

But it is solely Trump and the MAGA people who voted for him who take the blame for 8 year old kids being afraid to go to f**king school in case they get swept up by ICE and separated from their parents.  And, if you check out comments sections in US publications that report on this, some of those sociopaths are f**king laughing at this, and saying that this is exactly what they voted for.

At least some of these scumbags call themselves Christians too.  I mean for f**k's sake, who do they think Jesus would be hanging around with if he came back today?  Have they ever read this book they keep referring to?

Was watching a doc on prime or something, The American Coup .. About he overthrowing of the leader in Iran in the 50's. anyways I'd have known about that maybe 20 odd years ago, they were chatting to people outside around DC and asking did they know about the CIA's involvement, not a scobby do did they know, all ages,  not young ones who nowadays won't watch a film 10 years old or know the inside of a history book looks like.

One even said she wasn't alive at the time so how would she know about it, she wasn't around when Jesus was about... Makes you wonder is history taught (cause I did seen one about the founding fathers of American and they all got them wrong except a foreign lad) in schools and if so is it censored?

Perception is reality-the Democrats had a defacto open borders approach for the first 3 years of the Biden administration

They opened the floodgates and alienated wide swaths off the population

Not only that-but then they refused to cooperate with ICE to deport child abusers, murderers and drug dealers who were in the country illegally.

As for the Immigration Bill that was killed.....Republicans were dead right

As James Carville has said-when your opponent is drowning......throw 'em a cinder block

So the Republicans were expected to just Trust Kamala to abide by the law....What would have prevented our vaunted Border Czar from overriding everything in there with executive order like Sleepy Joe did

The Democrats are squarely to blame for where we are
