Quote from: Tony Baloney on January 03, 2025, 11:16:20 AMThe Brits are fairly getting their eyes opened to this Labour government. Totally rotten.

Bring back the Tories lol!

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

You wonder what they've got to hide by appealing this, we all know they were rotten to the core, but the rest of the world needs to see them for what they were and still are if they aren't going to give this poor family justice.

SaffronSports

This Labour and the Tories are just different cheeks of the same arse.

Months back  , might have  been just before or just after the  uk election, some families  praising  Labour , and their promise to get rid  of the legacy act.

I remember  thinking, Jesus you are deluded  if you think this shower  is going to totally reverse this. They're all in the  same club, protecting the same  people. Don't be  fooled.

And here we are.....

There was a good  documentary on TG4 before Christmas about the Guildford Four.  State papers  relating to their case, were to be released in 2021.  Now they won't be released  for another 75 years. SEVENTY FIVE YEARS!! Realistically, that's nearly 125  after  the event. That's like papers  being released about something something that  happened around  1900.

Tory/Labour, what's  the difference.  They're all  scum

Rossfan

Securocrats ruling the roost as always.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

They did the same thing with Julie Livingstone and other schoolchildren murdered by plastic bullets fired by British Army. Murdered in 1981. File locked until 2064. An evil shower.

This incarnation of the Labour Party is centre right in a traditional context. Northern Irish Catholics normally have socialist leanings and our expectations of a new Labour government were inevitably going to be disappointed.

Personally, I am fairly left wing in my outlook and with the rise of the populist right globally, I see no prospect of a socialist government any time soon and this crowd of spoofers might the most "left" leaning government the UK sees for a very long time.

Ironically given his background, Hilary Benn is about as socialist as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. On a wider point, in most areas of policy this government seems to be heavily influenced by the civil service.

If there is anything we have learned in the last few years, the notion of our representatives in government acting on our behalf is a complete farce! The CS run the show and our so-called advocates do as they're bid.

Musk shouldn't have endorsed Tommy Robinson but Starmer is an extremely dangerous individual as well. Can't remember disliking a British Prime Minister as much since Thatcher and he's only been in the job six months.
