Quote from: imtommygunn on December 18, 2024, 04:20:20 PMHe will need to move constituency. He wouldn't get back in in Clacton as he's never been near the place and would need wherever he moves to to not realise what he's like. (It has worked in the past for Galloway though so maybe it could for him).

It has been rumoured for very long periods that ultimately he is trying to get himself to be the leader of the tory party.

Would they take him on to get back in power?

They have basically turned into UKIP / reform anyway so I think it is a possibility. That would be his only vehicle though. I'd be pretty sure that Clacton place wouldn't look near him again.

This guy was prosecuted for murder after the Google street view car took a picture of him putting the body in the boot!

He's racked up some fines in the meantime.

I wonder will he be outside the school again on the first Monday back in January?

gallsman

I'd say he'll be there tomorrow.

QuoteJudge Nolan gave his decision while Mr Burke constantly spoke over him.

As he finished Martina Burke, Mr Burke's mother, said the "public saw his wickedness".

It's just going to run and run and run. Love the limelight the lot of them.

Typical unionism

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj6znpnkg2no

Complaining, including Sammy Wilson, outside Asda in Larne about Asda not using local producers for a pre Christmas offer.

So basically they're complaining about produce being brought in from the 'UK' to be sold in the north.

How ironic?

gallsman

Meh, I don't see it as anything to do with unionism or any inherent hypocrisy. Supermarkets make a big deal of local sourcing. Wanting your spuds to ideally come from just down the road instead of Devon or somewhere isn't turning your back on the union.

For once in his life, Sammy is actually trying to do something for his constituents.

To the ordinary shopper going in to buy spuds, they'll pick price over local

You obviously don't get it.

Because tomorrow he'll be complaining that Asda can't supply his constituents with certain items from the 'UK' because of the outworkings of Brexit.

No, I very much get it, as I'm not a f**king imbecile.

It's not a Brexit issue. Within the framework of his UK he'd prefer his constituents 5 mins down the road are the producer, not a random English farmer. Just because he wants free and unfettered access and movement of goods across the Irish sea, doesn't mean he thinks it should be a complete free for all. Especially when there's easy political capital to be made of it.
