I thought that was incredibly harsh reading the headline, seeing as there was a suspected kiddie fiddler got a suspended sentence a few days ago for trying to blackmail a young girl and then when confronted by a ban garda at the meeting place proceeded to violently punch and kick her in the head.

But on reading the article he was let go without a conviction but refused to sign a peace bond. Hard to have any sympathy for him. These time wasters deserve all that comes their way.

Will it not be that they let him out for Xmas seeing as the school will be closed?

There is no one out to get any of them, the courts don't want them, the jails don't want them. They wish they'd just f**k off and stop wasting everyone's time but these c**ts are something else. Ultimate neighbours from hell. You can bully decent people through life to get your way, shout them down, make a scene and brow beat them that they just give up BUT YOU CANNOT act like that in a courtroom in front of a judge and think it will also work there. I could not have less sympathy for them and if they all get locked up till they have a bit of manners then that's on them however long that takes.

It won't be as simple as that I doubt. If there are any conditions attached he'll no doubt refuse to accept them and he and his dad could well become the first Irish father and son combo to be in the nick together since Gerry and Guiseppe Conlon

Sean Burke, the father of Enoch Burke, has been jailed for two months for assaulting a garda in a courtroom last year.

The 60-year-old, of Cloonsunna, Castlebar, Co Mayo, was sent to prison after he refused to sign a bond to be of good behaviour for a year.

His daughter Ammi was cleared of obstructing a garda during the same incident

Man charged with murder of Karen Cummings in Banbridge at the weekend was released on bail a month ago having been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, non-fatal strangulation and two counts of criminal damage.

" A Co Armagh man who has been described as a "serial perpetrator of domestic abuse" has been released on bail after allegedly attempting to gouge out his partner's eye and choking her.

Police were objecting to bail believing King was likely to commit further offences, he has a history of similar offences, has allegedly issued a threat to kill the injured party and is a "serial perpetrator of domestic abuse".

The PSNI also expressed concerns at how close King and the alleged injured party would be in proximity to each other, that he is currently on probation, he is a respondent to seven non-molestation orders, he would interfere with witnesses and he would likely fail to appear when required.

King, who must submit a cash surety of £300, was granted bail on the basis an address is found that is suitable to police, he must have no contact with the alleged injured party, he must tell police if the woman contacts him, he must not consume alcohol in a public place, he must submit to a preliminary breath test when required, and he must observe a curfew between 10pm to 7am."

Just as shocking as it is now tragic bearing in mind what has happened.

No legal expert but it would not take a rocket scientist to know this guy was a bad article and needed to be off the streets at least in the short term.  The Judge will have a lot to answer for and I hope that the necessary questions are put to them.
