I don't know about all the cases. The East Belfast one was definitely that when the fella killed his mother. I imagine others were too.

A lot of those cases probably relate back to mental health and lack of treatment. On this island more effort was needed to improve mental health instead we have situation where day and night care mental health centres are closing.

The vast majority of murders against women and children are carried out by people in a close relationship with them. The likely outcome of the poor wee lad in Drogheda is that a family member killed them (likely the mother) and the rest covered it up. The old Irish attitude of live thy neighbours business,  but only to gossip about it rather than help,  is alive and well

How did you get covid into your mind? these facilities have been closing it's doors for over the last decade and at a time we have one of the highest rates of mental health illness in Europe.

Not really, boys have been looking at covid for many of todays ills in terms of spikes in death rates, which hasn't been the case.

Lack of treatment has been as poor now as ever, but a lot of domestic abuse killings are not down to mental health, just evil bastards most of the time.

Mental health services here shocking. I have spoke to a few people recently with kids with adhd and the lack of support they get is awful.
