Best thing about the Antrim Champo has been Cahair and Jerome on Twitter 😆😆

Quote from: Spike on September 29, 2024, 08:28:23 PMYeah.   Unfortunately I paid In to watch that.  As soon as cargin got back to back points I said this is over.   You could see st bs legs and belief disappear.   The hard man act and 'hold me back' routines have got very old.  They were lucky to have 15 men on the pitch after some questionable cynical tackles.   I was expecting far more from them but they the simply don't appear to have the bottle to dig deep when it matters

And they never will. A gather up on and off the pitch.

Could that not be thrown at a lot of Belfast teams though? There is always a lot of interchange between clubs.

A previous mini spat about Cahair sharing a video and not crediting him/getting permission

Then another few bites tonite but hard to know for sure as both times Jerome has ended up deleting his tweets 🤓

When was the last time a city team was in the senior final ? Was it LD about 2019/2020?

Awk you know yourself

Quote from: Spike on September 29, 2024, 08:17:56 PMNever a foul..shoulder to shoulder.   Every clash can't be a free.   Very disappointed in St Bs.  To say they lack cahones insults eunuchs

Which foul? when Cargin player completely takes out the fella passing the ball or the diving tackle from behind ?

Was a Cargin mentor not removed from the pitch for trying to strike a spectator in the League final? A lot of talk about behaviour but some forgettable heads...

Quote from: EOC1923 on September 29, 2024, 08:02:43 PMIf you want to take on the champions show some ambition and intensity when you have a gale force wind behind you in the first half. For me StBrigids have neither the squad, as evidenced by their subs, or the belief to beat Cargin.
Fairly comfortable in the end tbh roll on the final

St.Brigids were very disappointing. Not sure what kind of game they were trying to play in the first half with the wind behind them. It was a hard watch. Cargin were the better team. Take the Derry contingent out of Brigids and theyre poor enough.

Should be a good final. PG1 knocking on the door in recent years. Play a nice brand of football.

Yes, that is within their gift. Ballymena already in Div 1 ,St. T runners up in league already,  so promoted to Div 1 by right

I don't believe this to be correct.

I'm sure we will find out in time but my understanding is that it would have taken a St Paul's win yesterday to guarantee St Teresa's a promotion spot.

Ballymena were division one in league but intermediate in Championship.

So if they win the Intermediate Championship then they get promoted to Senior Championship and replace St Endas who were relegated from the Senior Championship today.

St Teresa's are promoted to Div1 as Ballymena were already Div1 next year. If they had lost yesterday they would have played Sarsfields (if they lost in the final) in a playoff as St Teresa's finished 2nd in Div2 as was explained on previous posts. Ballymena only played Intermediate this year because Dunloy couldn't as they were graded at Senior level for reaching the SFC final last year. All in all a bit messy I agree but we have an interesting IFC final were both teams will be playing Div1 football in 2025 so should be worth a watch

No amount of assumption fixes messy.

No vehicle in regulations for Intermediate Championship runners up to be promoted unless Division 2 winners also win Intermediate Championship.

Because St Paul's cannot now win Intermediate Championship that ship has sailed.

Should Dunloy not be senior, as you suggest, then perhaps Intermediate runners up could be in the running along with the other 'nearly men' St Endas (avoided league relegation) and Moneyglass (avoided championship relegation) to thrash out how the final senior spot is determined for 2025?

More playoffs anyone 😂

You haven't a clue with that statement!
Did they not win a junior a few years ago with a lock of boys who previously played football elsewhere?

If it can said about anyone else, it can be said about them.

Yes, not that i was going to bring it up as that match had little relevance but you've conveniently forgot about Matthew Downey jumping the fence and receiving a large suspension in the same game and another downey getting a red card. All for verbals and hot air. Yes some have forgettable heads for certain.
