if they've got the road already then they will hardly be rushing back to endorse an appeal to Ulster.    sounds like the floodlight installer at Creggan is the one pushing this  ;D. Need something to celebrate otherwise its been a dry old year for the club

Could be a dry 100 year anniversary Gala Ball with no trophies  ;D

Casements preparing for a 4pm throw in Toome on Saturday against LD until we are notified of something different. That's all we can do...trying not to lose focus.

Looking forward to seeing Cargin and St Brigids, most observers will see this as the final in anything but name.

St Brigids feel they were closer in last years semi final than the scoreline, a couple of errors making the difference. And there is no doubt they have kicked on another gear since then.

But Cargin looked better than ever in the QFs, will take a massive effort from any club hoping to dethrone them.

Quote from: belfastsaff on September 25, 2024, 01:44:53 PMIMO if the 16th man was that clear and obvious Antrim would have ordered a replay. This Belfast Cartel craic is all fun and jokes but everyone is a geal at the end of the day.

Sour Grapes at this stage from Kickams. Weren't good enough re group and go again next year. However as i have heard the management team are not being welcomed back for next year...
Everyone knows what BT,FQ and the rest off the cartel are like,if Ciaran McCavana and Dominic Murphy were still in charge this wouldn't have happened, wee Frankie and Totes are running the show,i heard earlier in the year at our senior game with cargin, one off the main reasons
why S laverty and E Mc Auley are reffing anymore was because off the cartel

Would ye whist

Theory going round also that LD v Creggan was put down for the Sunday to allow Ryan Murray to play as his suspension was up on the Saturday night, who organises the fixtures again?

Their was plenty of controversy in CMC time including him stopping LD from kicking 45s when he had absolutely no right to intervene. Also failing to present a division 1 league trophy on the final day of the season when cargin claimed it ?

Very quick to forget G+T...

I heard it was because of the soccer and the ref they wanted wasn't available to the Sunday afternoon.

I have you know that I have plenty to do. We can't sit around in the Rock bar and eat pastie baps all day like you city folk. 😉

Mines was said in jest.

The whole saga is a shambles and yet again paints a bad light on our county board and our officials. Has there been a year that we haven't been in the Irish news for some hassle?

Gael-in-exile

I'm a bit taken aback by some giving Creggan a dig.
At the outset of this they drew the game in normal time despite losing a score when they believed LD had an illegal player on the field who directly impacted on play and a specific score.
Once they start the process it's important and within their rights to follow it up fully if they believe so.

As for the views on who pulls the strings I'd agree it has never seemed clearcut or overly transparent in recent years.
But I would argue that not many would disagree with McCavanas decision to stop the 45's as the clock ticked closer to midnight than it was to the start of the game a number of years back.

There was a 4th official in Croke Park on an AI final day and it still happened.
