Thats surely balls. In this day and age there could be 100+ photos on social media straight after the game so what would be the point

How on earth would a soccer club gain access to an official teamsheet?
You hear some dung.

There's 7 matches on this weekend (3 sets of champo semis and a relegation play off) and not a single double header

Sods kept well for this time of year with the good weather and I know there's a bit of rain coming the rest of the week, but they'll be looking a tenner into every match this weekend more than likely how can other counties hold double headers with a bit of value and here you're halfway around the county between matches.

I mean even when they had it at Dunsilly and had a hour or two between matches you could at least save a bit of diesel.

If you're taking in all the football you can this weekend:

Friday - Junior semi at Dunsilly at 7
Saturday - Intermediate at Endas at 2, Senior at Cargin at 4
Sunday - Relegation PO at Randalstown 1.30, Senior at Dunsilly at 4

How else will we pay for Andy & Davey?

NorthAntrim

Dont think anywhere has the facilities to run double headers. Car parking wise. Most clubs would be a disaster. Some venues picked are awful as a stand alone game. Davitts being one

Spike

Somewhere with plenty of entry / exit roads and official (or unoffical parking) options.  Dunsilly, Cargin, Ballymena as central locations surely best placed.    But if a few coin is needed then there wont be many double headers played

Theyd probably rather everyone sat at home a paid for the streams at a tenner a go!

be doing well, it was a tenner for the 1/4 final. £12 my guess, £15 for the final

If we want Antrim county teams to have  quality facilities, management teams, support structures etc, the finances need to come from somewhere.

Watched a good bit of Tryone TV over the weekend, quarter finals, two ended in draws and go to a replay. Rough guess, between paying for Stream and those paying into the ground...50k across 4 games wouldn't be unreasonable.

At £10. £500k lift??

Not including intermediate and junior, big crowds go to these as well.

In fairness its a complete religion in Tyrone, feck all else to do.

Kidder81

Who don't they stream the games themselves like other counties, thus increasing the take

imtommygunn

I love that last line BS  ;D

Much easier for Jerome Quinn to do it I guess. I would say there'd be a fair investment in the gear to set things up - would need to be worth it. We wouldn't have the same popularity with our games as Tyrone would.

Also Tyrone is so dear that they're losing a lot to pirate streams... I think they have overpriced theirs a bit.

Gael-in-exile

I use the stream quite a bit but always left disappointed by the commentary, especially from the host.

I noticed all this weekends games are going ahead as single fixtures.
Does anyone know the actual reasons for this and not just a theory or opinion?

There are 9 football championship games this week from U16 to senior and they are set as 9 standalone fixtures.
Surely there is the ability to run double headers. Or do clubs/pitches facilities restrict that.

If so the county need to look at a weekend pass, season pass or similar for spectators.

We know the finals will all be on one weekend. So why not instead of getting £15/10 tickets for every final they sell a £30 all 3 finals ticket for hurling and football?
