Moron gets away with 100mph

And what if he had  killed a child , would that reason have been   sufficient for the grieving parents?

Clean record or not , he was  doing 100mph ffs

The guy got the punishment that the legislature says he should have got.

The only reason this made the news is because it was initially incorrectly reported that he was doing 160mph.

Saw a "WTF" incident this morning. Drove through Waringstown on road to Banbridge from Lurgan at 8.30am this morning (Sunday). Passed a jogger, then we had to stop at temporary traffic lights as they were working at the road (think it was the circet people). The jogger ran up past, grabbed the sign that says "Stop here on red light" and flung it to the ground, then ran on, shouting and wagging his finger at the workers.
The only thing I could think of was that he was annoyed at them working on a Sunday. Could that be right (bearing in mind it is a very unionist wee village)? It's not like they were using a pneumatic drill or anything that could have been considered anti-social.

Sounds like a cyclist trying something new. Was he wearing Lycra?

Took the road past the carrickdale about 1030 last night and the road was lined both sides with cars (dozens of them) and probably teenagers walking up the road then cars coming down towards us doing doughnuts across the road in lowered BMWs etc. never seen anything like it - like a scene from the fast and the furious.

Did he   literally "see red"?

If he was a mad Christian type , surely he  wouldn't even be out for a  run on a  Sunday either?

Wondered that - are they allowed to do anything but go to church? I've never seen the like of it. Wish I'd heard what he'd shouted at the men working.

Ah, so he's allowed to run on a Sunday, but only to  and from his church?

That's a very restrictive definition, he could also run to honour his father and mother or use the run to avoid committing adultery.

The amount of roadworks I've had to put with over the last 6 weeks I'd probably be ready to do the same lol.

Next election? Among FGs newly elected TDs are a Rose of Tralee winner and a jokey who can barely string a coherent sentence together.
