Quote from: BelSaft on August 19, 2024, 09:23:12 AMThats not the case. If Creggan win and Aghnagallon win it leaves 3 teams on 4points wer score difference then comes in to play? Odd that both games wouldnt be played at same time on same day. All final group games should be the same.

Of course, oversight on my behalf, apologies! Yeah, three tied teams and it comes down to score difference. Two tied teams and it is head to head based on what last year, unless it has changed.

Il give you that Duine  :) St John's we're awful

While it's not st John's best team it does seem like you are miles ahead of the rest.

NorthAntrim

Seems to be a lot of teams have dropped off. St Endas are looking like Intermediate. Creggan and Aghagallon have dropped. PG1 seemed to struggle v Moneyglass. St Brigids looking like the only team who can possibly mount some sort of challenge. Can Dunloy get to another final

NAG1

St Endas weakened by players travelling?

Hard to say yet, yesterday there was a difference in fitness and footballing levels but there are definitely 2-3 teams who will mount a much tougher test

Early yet but looks to me like strong favourites and I have no dog in the fight. You look to be widening the gap to the next best.

bannside

Definitely very true. Has the draw been made yet for the Ulster??

Ulster is a long way from anyones thoughts BS, what was the craic versus Moneyglass, seemed a close affair you were just toying with them I hear?

Doesn't St. Enda's have one of the biggest memberships in Antrim? Surely they have enough boys to fill gaps.

bannside

Moneyglass dogged and no shortage of decent players, definitely took PG1 out of their comfort zone yesterday.

Like who? Let's be honest,  nobody is getting near Cargin,  just way way ahead of anything else in Antrim right now.  I can't honestly think or see one team that can cause Cargin any problems this championship.  It's a canter to another title for me.

St Brigids have a realistic chance of beating Cargin, whether they can get over the line or not is a different matter. Outside of those two I think the quality drops off.

imtommygunn

I honestly don't think they do.

Every dog has its day.  We saw last year that the Autumn weather can be a great leveller with negative tactics which all of the challengers employ.

We havent seen what any of them are like if knocked off their rhythm yet.  The Biddies look best placed, Creggan and Ports dangerous and LD the unknown dark horses.

I took in the LD game and PG1 games over the weekend. I dont think LD will be near it, AG missed maybe 4 or 5 good goal chances in the game which didn't seem to make it in to the match report, game was tight until the red card 15 mins from the end. Dunloy LD will tell a tale of where both teams are at.

PG1 will probably be the best placed team after Cargin and Brides. They got it tight against Moneyglass but they seemed to be in third gear the whole time, whether or not they can step it up against the bigger teams remains to be seen but they have the quality when they turn it on.
