Quote from: Truthsayer on August 18, 2024, 02:51:41 PMSo Mickey applies for Kildare vacancy and is rejected because of walking on Louth. True. He needs to go home and chill out.

To be fair after the debacle that was his tenure at Derry this summer, His value has waned.
Mickey is 72!

Mickey Harte will become the new joint manager of the Offaly senior football team on a three year term.

Harte will co-manage the team with the current boss Declan Kelly

Had to check the calendar to make sure it's not the 1st of April....
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Same was said when he took on the Louth gig and and left what was Div 4 team in a much better place. Offaly have more potential in their team now than Louth had back then.

Punchline is: "His genuine interest in Offaly GAA"... sounds like Robbie Keane.

No doubt he can take a team at that level on a bit. Pity he left them high and dry but they've done so much better since
Shipped embarrassing defeat to London this summer so should Offaly go up a level they'll be happy.

Louth did a little better in the championship and didn't do as well in Div 2 this year, all of the ground work was done by Harte and his management. 2025 will show can Ger Brennan bring them on again or regress back.

He'll hardly be that broke when he gets his hands on that Shane Lowry money.
