Really starting to look forward to this year's championship, half a dozen clubs could win it, Cargin setting the standard for others to match. Bring it on.

Beating a very poor Bellaghy side in a challenge game has went to your head BS 😉

You think?  I dont, I think Cargin at a Canter again.

What are the odds? You would expect Cargin to win the championship handy enough tbh - anything else would be a surprise. Anyone saying otherwise is probably talking their own team up or their own team down.

BelSaft

Cargin 2/1
Creggan 5/1
Portglenone 5/1
Aghagallon 6/1
St Brigids 6/1
Dunloy 8/1
Lamh Dhearg 8/1
Rossa 16/1
St Johns 20/1
St Galls 25/1
Tir Na Nog 50/1
Glenravel, Aghoghill, Moneyglass all 100/1

St galls a better team than 25/1 I fancy them to come out of the group of death at very least

Would ye whist

Hearing some reports from the referees (lack of) fitness test held at Randalstown last night, apparently 5 refs max who actually managed to complete what was a test consisting of nothing more than a light jog, very worrying

bannside

It won't be won or lost on gaaboard anyway that's for sure!

I watched it for a bit.

Not going have a dig at anyone in particular but 5 is probably about right.....some of them are clearly fit enough, and not just the younger ones as some of the older heads showed that they still keep on top of their fitness.

Others were really struggling, including one I spoke to, but at least they were there giving it a go.

There were one or two noticeable by their absence as I would be surprised how they ever pass a fitness test.

NatSoSaff

What is the actual test? A bleep test? What do they have to achieve? Sounds worrying if there are only 5 up to the mark.

Dreen

Referee numbers and ability always a worry but having referees for our underage games is at least a positive point.
Compare to camogie with teams reffing amongst themselves and problems that arise from that.
We nail referees but the standard of coaches, behaviour on the touch line and some just being interested in their own children is a blight on our game as much as the standard of refs.

Quote from: EOC1923 on July 23, 2024, 01:19:40 PMJust noticed a post I had put up after the game on Friday night has been deleted, strange. All I did was call out another user on here for their behaviour at the game (namely the choice derogatory words he used while directing vitriol toward our bench). This can also be viewed on the facebook video of the match at 59.20 seconds of play.
The match is over now just wondering why the post got deleted

Theres no volume so all i can take from it is a member of the Cargin management? throwing digs

EOC1923

Aye just after that, look out for the St Agnes, St Paul's posse
Anyway not that relevant just wondered why the post got deleted

country bumpkin

Former member of Coiste Baniste maybe still has a bit of clout.....?

It's a criteria on here if you're calling out who people are. Pretty standard and has happened on many threads.

5 max? That can't be true. Surely that is a massive under exaggeration.
