So if the league is so competitive and the championship is the best in Ireland why are they so shite in Ulster club?

You could go back to last year when you had the same discussion. Or the year before. Or, indeed, the year before. Where you end up conceding that you don't really care and you are just winding people up.

If back to back hasn't been done in 20 years who's worried about Ulster? Errigal gave Glen a serious rattle in 2022 and last year Trillick dealt with Cross fairly handily before a 1 pt loss to Scotstown. Maybe the tide is turning a bit.

Probably hampered by the number of clubs too, any area with any sort of population at all there will be multiple clubs catering for them rather than 1.

You're wondering aloud why "Tyronies" (cringe, retire this) get worked up about the league and I'm after telling you in a friendly enough manner.

With regards the Ulster Club, maybe Trillick can go down the St Gall's route and have a browse of the talent in Fermanagh sure it's only down the road. Maybe then we can make some in roads.

Cargin may well find it difficult to add another league title tonight.....like All Saint's and Tir na Nog they have a big number of pannelists away on holiday...atm

Spike

St Brigids reserves vs Cargin Minors.  Unavoidable when having a final at this time of year

Caesar

I am expecting these two teams to meet each other in another final later in the year

A bit touchy there PJ! By my counting 13 out of the 15 starters come through the NB underage setup, and another 4 or 5 when fit would push for a starting berth. Cleary an understrength Cargin team tonight who never really had any flow. Lots of football still to be played and it will be interesting to see how performances and results work out when all teams are at full strength.

The Biddies are the new Championship favourites. Big squad now, no excuses why they shouldn't be.

bannside

Cargin still firm favourites for McNamee with one eye already on Ulster. But St Brigids should definitely be in the conversation, anyone not seeing that isn't looking the right way!

It's still very much Cargin's to lose. It is a good step for st brigids to win division one but cargin with a full team still the yardstick.
