What annoys me is that this has been going on for over a year but it's only really becoming mainstream news since the debate. I dont understand how people were shocked by that night when it was obvious to anyone following his speeches that it would nothing but an unmitigated disaster.
At this stage I don't think he's able to finish his term, never mind do another.

Joe never planned on serving a second full term

He was planning on getting elected, then hand the reins over to Kamala

Now it's all a complete shambles

I wonder when there is WW3 and Joe is asked to press the Green button or the red button, which button will he press, which button will he think he is pressing and and does he even remember what the buttons are for.

Jesus they need to put him out of his misery

He does stumble, but other aspects of the press conference are quite OK.

Unfortunately for Biden, "quite ok" is not going to do clean up the mess.

He may be fully in command of policy and his brief most of the time, but he is clearly in decline and not going to improve, yet is asking to be elected for another four years to do a job that drains and exhausts healthy people in their forties, fifties and sixties.

He failed utterly in making a pretty easy case against Trump in the debate, and now Trump, also a ridiculously weak and beatable candidate, who is also showing clear signs of decline and confusion, is surging.

I wouldn't give a shit about mixing up names and the like, something he's done all his life, if all the other stuff wasn't present. It does give the Murdoch media an easy headline, but no one would care if Biden himself wasn't otherwise failing so badly on the campaign front.

Or he maybe completely not in control of his brief and be allowing others to be making the decisions. There is no way this man is running America.

There was a Mayor of Boston-"Mumbles Menino". He couldn't string 2 sentences together without making some type of gaffe

That being said he was a heck of a good mayor and ran the city well

Joe has always been like this-but now add in his age and obvious cognitive decline and it becomes a real issue

Democrats are in a tough spot....the African American constituency are going to be furious if he doesn't hand the baton over to Kamala

That was what I signed up for (at least the one term part - I'd assumed there'd be a competitive primary).

Unfortunately, Biden mistook the anti-Trump and abortion backlash of 2022 as a personal endorsement for him to pursue four more years.

Personally, I thought and said here at the time that the only way Biden COULD win that second term was if Trump, as opposed to someone like De Santis or Haley, was the nominee. Looks like I was even wrong with that modest prediction, although I wasn't counting on such a limp, geriatric campaign.

I've heard on a few podcasts that they actually still favour Biden, as they don't think Kamala would stand a chance of winning a national election as a black woman.

That said, I also heard that members of the Black Caucus are starting to move away from Biden.

I expect (or at least hope) the dam will break in the next few days. A few more congressional politicians have called for him to step down since last night.

And the rumour is that George Clooney wrote the NY Times editorial with Obama's endorsement.

Bin the debates, let them have a sing-off

Trump failed assassination attempt.. What the f**k, shot at a rally

Blowitupref

Mapcap country. Just before he was shot in the ear he said "looks what happens"
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Captain Obvious

Old Moore's Almanack was right with their 2024 prediction on Trump attempted assassination. Who's the idiot on Sky News at the moment Jason they are calling him.  Blaming Biden for what happened and going on about how great the MAGA movement is and how we should all pray.

AustinPowers

Well, they tried  everything else....

Tony Baloney

Whilst I wouldn't have shed a tear for him I think his assassination would have resulted in some sort of civil uprising by the MAGAs.
