surprised the Johnnies weren't able to pull themselves out of the bottom 4 but St Galls, TNN and Ballymena have all gave the league a go and it surely must be a good confidence boost for each of them heading into their respective championships.  Hard to make of where PG1, Creggan and Aghagallon are really at as they have had a real mixed bag of results.  Ahoghill once again have done it, Moneyglass proved last year's relegation was correct while Glenravel and Aldergrove have really struggled with the step up in contrast to Ballymena.  Biggest pats on the back go to Ballymena followed by TNN.

Fair play to Ballymena pushing on, for me this is the correct course instead of trying to be cute. I'm pretty sure our boys could do without these playoffs but trying to win every game is always the way to go IMO

So in total it could be 17 games from the start of the league to a play off final. Its the start of July and Championship is a good month away? I think it's a no brainer to play as many games at a higher tempo in the lead up to championship, as a player I'd much prefer playing meaningful games that getting bogged down with training and playing challenge games.

If I was a chairman of a club and felt our seniors were 'throwing' a game I'd be having a word with the committee to get rid of manager

What way does relegation work ? Moneyglass down ?
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

will they take it seriously or give the kids a run out?  could be a surprise league title for B'mena or TNN if they do. St Brigids wont turn their nose up at it either

bottom 4 play offs same as top 4
St Johns v Moneyglass
glenravel v aldergrove

i think these will be the pairings anyway, St Johns and glenravel home advantage
Losers play in final with losers down.
Same format in championship to determine whos relegated outta senior championship. 4 bottom place teams in each group play off with 2 semis and a final.
I think anyway.

Strange way to go about it. Big enough gap to championship now and one possibly two competative games in the lead up will be better than challenge games away to Co Derry or Tyrone

Cargin started in the league in research of their strength in depth.
They continued throughout in this mode and absolutely strengthened the senior squad with new youthful faces now within....

The football working group didn't really think this one through
To have league semi finals and a final on during the July holidays is farcial there won't be one team even close to being at full strength. After 15 games if you are top you should be declared champions and I'd say same if it were N Brid on top.

This isn't the doing of the football working group.

Fixing of the games lies with others, going against the timings suggested by the football work group / clubs.

There's an article about Cargin's 1999 team in the Gaelic Life this week which I'm sure would interest a few here.

Neutral venues for top 4 and bottom 4 playoffs
Thought the highest place team should get some sort of advantage
