Best player on the pitch imo....very classy act for sure.

Yea someone who said the O Cahan Cup dosent matter would have seen two teams going at it rightly last night.

Really nothing between the sides, would have been good value to the neutral.

We lost another game but a rake of players to come back so definitely no one panicking. Our best player was a rookie corner forward Sean Byrne, looks like we will be seeing more of him.

Good article in today's papers about Declan Lynch calling time on his county career.

Fair play to him, he owes county nothing at this stage and can bow out knowing his contribution was always at a consistently high level and very much appreciated by supporters.

Definitely agree with this, Declan never gave anything less than everything. A standout memory for me is the league game v Cavan last year, we were on a run of defeats and needed a win to stay up, towards the end we had a lead and Cavan were coming back into it, Declan took the situation by the scruff of the neck and with a few runs and a few hits, made sure we held the lead and retained our divisional status.

Wtf is it with players saying they're retiring, it's not as if he was a decorated footballer with multiple all stars, he is a steady club player, some off the antics he gets up to playing club football leave alot to be desired ,mostly at the hill.

NorthAntrim

Sure we knew that was coming. Doing an interview the week before saying if theyd lost to fermanagh that was him done

Ghost+Tommy

Thing about it is, whenever he plays club football he trys to ref it as well,to the point he trys to intimadate refs

Because if the likes off kildare come calling,he'll be away

And I can see why Kildare might call...Andys sort of man could get them kickstarted again, and loves that type of athletic player that Kildare have.

Hopefully he will see the potential for 20% plus improvement across the board from some of the players he has developed and quite a few of his first season favourites that are due to return after injury.

If he thinks that potential dosent exist then I'd be afraid him and Tom might depart, but the optimistic half of me says they're not the type of people to walk away while the job is unfinished.

Time will tell, the vast majority here and in the real world definitely want them to remain for a minimum of at least one more year.

Any chance the county would update the fixtures on the website for times and dates of championship?

Has Andy done enough for a 3rd year at the helm?

Two years so far of mediocre football but perhaps that qualifies as enough for an Antrim manager? His greatest success has been lowering our expectations to the extent we now have none with the new Tommy Cooper Cup the latest snake oil to be sold.
That, and of course filling his squads full of athletic but uninspiring players from clubs below the top 3 who have no chance of winning anything but keeps their supporters on his side. He has a great Public Relations game it has to be said.

He gets my vote! One more year!
