Yep. His political/current affairs podcasts are much easier to listen to than the football ones. Though struck again by the hypocrisy, given that he preached agian about the hatred some people have for others, just one episode after having called Mickey Harte a c**t!

Quote from: Silver hill on June 20, 2024, 09:26:02 PMLads, the reason for the slump is because effectively Derry are without a manager at present. Harte offers nothing on the sideline, doesn't open his mouth in the dressing room and leaves all the training to Devlin. There are a number of players with whom he has had zero interaction with. As in, he has never spoken to. Players are not stupid, they see things with their own eyes. They smell the bullshit. Gallagher believed and invested his soul into Derry and the players responded in kind. Harte is an imposter and shame on our County board for appointing him.

Brolly in as your ghost writer? That's some diatribe on the eve of the Mayo game.. Serves no one but yourself

Gives me no pleasure saying it. It's my opinion on what I believe to be the issue behind the slump. No sure how that's self serving but you're perfectly entitled to your opinion.

Apparently he phoned McStay tonight to apologise for how good McKinless was tonight on behalf of all Derry people.

Theres definitely an element of that for sure. Part of me thinks it would be hilarious to watch him squirm if they won the whole thing.

if they won the whole thing, he'd be fighting the stewards to get out on the pitch and lift the cup himself. he's an attention seeker.

Brolly starts the podcast this week by mocking Dion saying it's a soccer thing making it all about the manager, when they're talking about Derry beating Mayo

Dion rightly says that he's been making it all about Harte since day 1, Brolly waffles some answer about tactics not answering the question.

Remember he said continually in the autumn and winter that he wouldn't be going to any Derry matches when that c***ts in charge, in between crying that we all have to be more kind to everyone

He's like a broken record and Harte has probably got more support as a result of Brolly's incessant abuse. I'd have more sympathy for him now than I had when he decided to jump ship and take that job to begin with as no man deserves that level of vitriol. If he won the All Ireland with Derry and roared into the mike at Brolly in Kieran Donaghy style, I think a lot of people would take great pleasure in hearing that.

Probably best you don't listen to his podcasts!

Almost spat out my coffee when I heard Joe today critising Mayo for not committing tactical fouls to see their last two games out in the dying moments. In case you're wondering: Yes, that is the same Joe Brolly who was so offended by tactical fouling that he said Sean Cavanagh was not even a man for having committed one.
