Quote from: Easttyrone23 on June 08, 2024, 01:18:40 AMStewartstown must be aiming for the all Ireland junior title next year. Lost their first 3 and two of them were against fintona and Naomh eoghan who you'd expect to be around the bottom of the division. Even though they won against Naomh eoghan, When's the last time cookstown were even considered a mid table intermediate team? I can't think of another club who have been relegated and promoted as much as them over the last 10 years or so. Especially considering the quality and numbers they have had in youth football. Then the likes of gortin, aghyaran and Owen roes with a lot less numbers are able to compete in division 2 for years and aghyaran obviously at the top end of the table.

Townie teams innit. Hard to keep them at it.  Don't know what you'll get from one week to the next.

Stewartstown hardly a townie team as the vast majority of the players come from the local rural area. Might as well call Moortown a townie team while your at it.

If the Harps seniors don't pick up any points against Kildress and especially Drumragh at home in the next 2 games then it's probably bottom 2.

Did young McCabe from Clonoe pick up a bad injury/illness in their game against Eglish?

Stewartstown in Division 3 once in the last 15 years or so I think. Been a solid intermediate team for majority of that time.

Was taking about Cookstown tbf but Stewartstown always had that townie vibe as well I felt now that you mention them.

Weekend off this week. Do we think teams are going through a slog of a weeks training or using this as week to recuperate before another big few weeks before the break.

Some good ties to look forward too

A lot of nice draws there and draw brackets. On paper Errigal look to have got as good a draw they could have hoped for. Whoever meets them in the semi final will have come through major battles
Living the dream!!!

Cant wait for it, the straight KO is so refreshing

That was maybe part of their problem last season. Had a handy enough run to the final compared to Trillick and came up short.

Was talking to a Fianna supporter there and he thought they may have a few men suspended for their match after getting sent off in last years championship but couldn't remember if they were straight red cards.
