Quote from: Milltown Row2 on December 23, 2023, 02:35:08 PMWas round at the neighbours last night for few Xmas drinks, chat turns to football and most are Liverpool fans, they watch Utd more nowadays than they did when Utd where winning the leagues consistently.
It seems a common trend for Liverpool fans seem to spend more time watching and talking about Man Utd.

What's funny is Man United fans are the same when it comes to Liverpool.
NEUTRAL
ALSO NOT FROM LAOIS!

Hoijlund actually looks good but United have the least creative midfield in the league. Saw some stat last week that United have played the least number of passes to their strikers. I think he will come good. Very young too.

People slag off Nunez, this fella seems to be getting an easy ride.
He's a kid. Should be playing as back up to likes of Kane. Getting f**k all service as well as uniteds wingers are either shite or greedy or both

Anyone advocating that United should be able to £70m on a backup / young prospect for the future, should really get their head seen to.

I think Kane will be happy he's not at Old Trafford.

Yeah he be happy enough where he is I'm sure!  If Ferguson was still in charge United would have had him years ago.

Hospitals are not equipped to treat stupid

Square Ball

ETH says stick to the plan, hard to see one, players seem to be playing to their own plan, no cohesion, no team work and no balls.

I'd switch Antony and Garnacho and just give them the job of getting the ball into the box for Hojlund, and you'd have Fernandes or McTominay behind him. Instead of the endless switching inside and going nowhere. They're not good enough to be regular goalscorers but are capable of sometimes finding a bit of space to get a cross in. As it is, Hojlund gets next to no service. One chance a game is not what builds a striker's confidence.

Quote from: nrico2006 on December 23, 2023, 02:37:54 PMTen Hag had had enough time. Not good enough.

I would tend to agree. I don't see any improvement at all. Had a good cup run last season. But got the luck of the draw all home games. And Chelsea spurs and Liverpool were dreadful in the league so top 4 wasn't really much of an achievement. He is running out of time. 13 defeats so far this season. Hard to see a way back for him with those players. No manager will succeed with that squad.

Injuries has played it's part this season but I think looking back now finishing 3rd last season and reaching two cup finals was overachievement with that squad.  Chelsea after 18 games are now 3 points worse off this season under Pochettino, Spurs have only slightly improved points wise.  Liverpool interesting had 28 points after 18 games last season the same as Man United currently have.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Yeah and finished outside the top 4. You can talk all you want about other teams but the number of defeats, across the competitions is off the charts for United.

Nanderson

If and its a big IF united do pull the trigger on a Ten Hag replacement soon, I could see them doing very well in 2nd half of the season. There's a lot of injuries due to clear up in January which will massively help with squad depth and United obviously don't have midweek/thursday night european football to contend with
