Three wins in a row! I'd forgotten what it felt like. Seems to be a lot more confidence and an actual system of play developing.

There's still a way to go be a good side but the improvement you want is there especially at the back. Varane staying fit is very important to how things will go this season. The back 4 look very solid, you don't get heartburn nearly as much watching anymore. Some improvement needed in the middle; you'd hope Casemiro will help there - he had some good touches when he come on. I thought Eriksen was good last night and McTominay to be fair to him. Up front is still a worry, Antony will help but they're still short up there. Sancho has shown flashes but nothing consistent yet.

United are very much a work in progress and scoring is a major issue. Casemiro will hopefully be starting over mctominay. Anthony on the right sancho left and Ronaldo in the middle.  Arsenal are greatly improved but its hard to know how good they are so early in season. I suspect there is a weakness there like united.

United just 3 points off the top now, unthinkable after losing to Brighton, Brentford and conceding 6 goals in the opening 2 games.

Early days yet but good signings all showing well and the players showing the required intensity, work rate can produce results against the best in the league as seen today and against Liverpool.

If we apply some of Captain Obvious logic to this I think it's fair to say it's Man United's title to lose right now.

Don't think anybody is getting carried away. It's nice to have won four games in a row however.

Dropping Maguire and Shaw and AWB and Fred has been the change. Whatever about attitude and heart etc we've stopped making stupid mistakes and can actually defend for a change. Even when Arsenal had the ball they created very little. Their goal was a fluke, interception fell right to Saka. A good win but bigger challenges await.
