He didnt play an awful lot, but got some important goals particularly in the cup run. Bought for around 7m and sold for 15m after 2 years of being a solid squad player is decent enough business.

Completely agree. He has moved on, Sadio, Divock, likely that big Nat, Neco and Ben Davies go too. That frees up the guts of £350k per week salaries wise. Nunez is £100k the 2 young lads a drop into that,  maybe a contract for Mo is not out of the question....

That will make the squad smaller to free up that money, grand, though should injuries, suspensions strike, as they do in a normal season, and considering the amount of games Liverpool play, they'll be under pressure to maintain the high standards..

Id like to see Ox moved on as well and an upgrade brought in. Someone young that can eventually succeed Henderson/ Milner would be ideal.
I think the squad depth up front still looks pretty decent with Salah, Nunes, Diaz, Jota, Firmino, Carvalho (and even Kaide Gordon who will be a year older)

Not competitively. Played a pre-season game I think. His fee that was paid out has been recouped through the loan fee from last season so any money made on a sale is profit. Small money but still like likely to be £3-5m

Wondering if we might see a shift in formation this season to a possible 4231? Particularly against the low block teams.

Maybe the likes of Bobby, Carvalho or Elliott playing behind Nunez with diaz and Salah out wide. Doesn't look like we are going to strengthen midfield this window so by only having to play 2 CM's it lessens the load on Fab, Thiago, Hendo, Milner, Naby and Jones

I think that will take a bit longer!  There were a lot of people quick to jump in and use as a stick.
