Not sure how accurate this is but with Rashford's new deal United have 5 of the top ten best paid players in the PL. Surprised there are not more Chelsea players in there to be honest

Where is Aguero on that list? I find that hard to believe that he isn't near the top.

There are a few names that stood out as missing for me as well. Mane/Delle Alli etc. It is probably linked to when they signed their deal. Aguero is at an age where they dont have to offer him an enhancement mid deal to extend as he will be early thirties when the deal expires

I've always assumed that Aguero's loyalty to City is owed in no small part to an extraordinary off-the-books wage. A theory backed up by recent social media suspicions about why nobody ever wants to leave City.

Moyes contract runs out today.  ;D

Now would United be in a better or worse position had he been given more time. Answers on a postcard please...

Would be in a better position if he was never appointed in the first place and a more like for like replacement was brought in for Ferguson.

Ruined Moyes' career so it did.

Pogba looking out according to his agent.

Blessing?

Talk of swap involving Bale and Kroos plus cash. Take the arm off them.

Enough dead wood players on high wages at the club already.

Best for both parties that Pogba and United part ways this summer. He will excel and win major trophies elsewhere in a team full of leaders while a leaderless United trying to build a team around him was a total waste of time.

Decent first touch, piece of skill and finish on that goal/winner.  Still only 17, old head on young shoulders.

The preseason has shown some very encouraging performances from the young lads.  Greenwood, James and Gomez all shining.  We're a threat down both flanks and Martial is pressing Rashford for the CF role.  Would be nice to get Fernandez and Maguire across the line as well as a replacement for Lukaku if we can get rid.

That's a rose tinted view of things I'd ever there was one  :)

I think there are some reasons for cautious optimism. I'd certainly expect United to start the season a lot better and accrue a fair few more points than in the first half of the season last year. Looks like there will be a few bits of transfer business before the season starts and they'll be very important.
