Would that be a record for u14s margin of victorys that Donaghmore achieved this year would anyone know?.
Plenty of lob sided tankings at u-14 if you look on the website. Keepers too small and pitch to big so when a term gets a run they can rack up big scores.

Lop sided scores common alright in U14 but I saw this result and for a Grade 1 final looked to be one of the best I can remember. Had heard that this Donaghmore group of lads where talented be interesting to see how they get on at Feile

I remember years ago playing an underage game man came into the dressing room checking if we had underarm hair could tell if you were compliant age wise lol.Size means a lot at that level imo.

Holy Ghost,it's a good job the Windmill under 14's were never checked for hairy armpits!!

Probably in July when everyone is on holidays and interest is at an all time low. Makes sense.
Down for the 2nd August.

Had heard Donaghmore had a good team but some of the margin of victories was unreal. Looked at their scores online there for all season and nobody got within 10 points of them with the vast majority not getting within 20/25 points. They must be some outfit and this is the 3rd year in a row to have a good team at that level in Grade 1 and get to the finals. Must be good coaching going on or else the cycle has come around again for them like it does in most clubs every 20 years or so - the question is can they translate it at the senior level in 10 years time. Not many clubs are good at U14 and can carry it the whole way through 16, minor and into senior. Some clubs have done it but not too many.

I believe they are very favorable with alot of older players (good birthdays) this year which helps in terms of size at that age. Taking nothing away from them though, i seen them against our lads in one of the championship games and was very impressed.

They will start to close the gap at u16 and teams will be catching them by minor.

The Derrylaughan U-14 team of 2012 had the same kind of winning margins as this Donaghmore team and I think teams had already caught them by U-16. Think Big Kennedy would have been on that team?

Wondering the same. Rumours that they are.
A wee bit of clarity would be nice?
