SO what exactly did the WAPO achieve by embellishing and misrepresenting other than giving Trump and his supporters another "see, I told you so"

FFS were not talking about Mother Jones or the Huff Post here......report the he fvckin story as it happened and stop making $hite up.......is that too much to expect?

I'll let the Post address your claims that they "made shite up", as opposed to reporting accurately on the meeting and the list of words relating to the budget, based on a source who was supposedly there, only for the CDC to wait four days to downplay the story.

So now your implying the head of the CDC is spinning to cover for Trump

The more I read about this the worse the WAPO looks....no word was ever banned, and it certainly was never banned by Trump or anyone associated with him

I'm not implying anything. I think the circumstances obviously can lend themselves to the interpretation that pressure could have been brought to bear and that the CDC head could have been instructed to tidy up what was a very embarrassing allegation. Who knows? I'm sure the FOIA requests are being prepared as we speak. Regardless, whether the word list originated with political appointees OR scientists trying not to alienate ignorant Republicans in congress, either is quite telling of the overall attitude of the GOP to science.

Specifically on the Post, we'll see if they retract or correct.

FYI....the (non) banned words which were (nt) drafted personally by Trump is part of the war on women.

And you wonder why people watch Fox News and read Breitbart

Edit: I've no idea what the article says - it's behind a paywall.

This type of crap..

Since the 1970s, feminists have used the power of the written word to demand bodily rights — birth control, abortion, freedom from coercive sterilization, choices in childbirth — as part of their quest to achieve full equality. The banned words don't just try to silence women, they attempt to dismantle these feminist gains.

Women's health first emerged as a major social and political issue in the turbulent late 1960s. Women inspired by the civil rights movement and its demand for equal citizenship created a new wave of feminist activism. At the core of this activism was asserting that the most private, personal aspects of their identity — relationships, sexuality, health and family life — were political. In other words, personal experiences rooted in sexism could be channeled into "consciousness-raising," a form of political action designed to elicit discussion about such topics as women's relationships, their roles in marriage and their feelings about childbearing.

Every second of the day there's a Democrat telling a lie

No - this is disgraceful

QuoteIt's been 81 days since Congress let CHIP, the children's health insurance program that insures 9,000,000 expire.

Good to see you have your priorities straight

At this point I dont even know what to believe because everyone is spinning and bullshitting

liberals say that due to the new tax bill something like 13 Million people are going to lose their health insurance.

In reality, the tax bill eliminates the IRS penalty for people who dont buy insurance......no one is going to lose their insurance unless they chose to.  For many the new premiums under Obamacare are just off the fvckin charts.....and they were told by the chosen one that their premiums would go down by $2500.  I know people whove gone from $18k to close to $35K

So

And the effects of the loss of all those healthy people from the insurance pools will help people because...?

The mandate was a conservative idea originally, and a good one.

Thats a stretch and you know it, but keep spinning if it makes you feel better.....some conservatives in the mid 90s drafted a policy document (among many drafts that didnt include it) in response to Hillarycare that was never even put to a vote, while most other Republicans have always opposed it.

What part "a conservative idea" don't you understand?

I didn't say it was a GOP idea or that it was embraced by all conservatives. Nor did I say "Obamacare". I said "mandate".

The Prospect article you posted even states that the mandate was a Heritage idea.??

Lots of think tanks have all types of ideas all the time....99% of which never become either policies or positions. To say this was a conservative idea is intellectually dishonest

But keep spinning.....the American people have finally figured out what the Democrats are all about and voted accordingly last November

Unfortunately the person they turned to is an even bigger bullshitter than Hillary

I'm sorry, you post a link confirming exactly what I said and then accuse me of intellectual dishonesty? ;D

Suit yourself.

Hillary won the popular vote by over 2 million. "The American people" did not vote for Trump. "Keep spinning" indeed!
