Especially with United the likely opposition!

That said, they need to come out with a lot more urgency and movement and drag Southampton out of position all across the field to find openings in the bus, not the passive shit they pulled against Swansea on Saturday. If they slowly switch it wing to wing, they can just sit there, pack the centre and the box, and we'll be looking at a 0-0 or 1-0 defeat when Southampton find Shane Long on the break.

The Stallion

It is only the League Cup. Klopp should not risk injury to key players in an irrelevant domestic cup game.

Stupid from Klopp. So desperate to win a complete irrelevance of a cup that he risks injury to key players.

Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

That's about as good as it can be without Mane. Clyne as well I suppose

Wouldn't be shocked if there was extra time. I think away goals only count after extra time.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Good looking team surely.  As said above,  if Liverpool were to qualify,  Utd in the final would liven things up a little for a February

AZOffaly

I just realised Can is playing instead of Wijnaldum. He needs to start producing, so tonight's as good a time as any.

AZOffaly

Milner doesn't look tuned in tonight. Waiting for that ball, and then letting redmond get in there, he should have scored.

laoislad

Frustrating half. Loads of possession but creating feck all. Southampton should be at least 1 up also.
They just seem completely unable to find a way to break down teams who put 11 behind the ball for most of the game.

Alex Arnold playing well enough. He has sent in great crosses.

Southampton not showing any signs of poor league performances... Southampton 45 mins away from playing Hull/Utd.... some achievement

TAA is playing well going forward, but he's absolutely getting fleeced when Southampton attack on that side. Also MAtip is very uncomfortable when someone runs at him. I think if Liverpool don't score in the first 10 minutes, they are going out.
