Tell us again how little you care.....  :D

Something something two bald men fighting over a comb something.

I don't  ;D I do enjoy watching people lose their marbles over losing a match and the others rip into them, until its their loss and they fold away like shirking violet's...

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

I'd be happy if United get Pochettino. Looks a serious operator. Has injected bottle into the most lacking in bottle club imaginable.

Trouble is - if he wins the league with Spurs (I think he will), would he leave them?

Depends on which you look at it, he might think winning the league with Spurs is as good as it gets. Imagine the hypocrite that is Levy though, he has no problems poaching players and managers from smaller clubs but when it comes to his own staff moving on he cries foul.

United is a huge job hence why Jose is desperate for it, it would mean a huge pay rise for Pochettino too if he made the move. Pochettino will be happy at Spurs but you never know in management if you'll get another chance at a huge job, might have to take it when he can.

Read today that United put in a late bid to take Debuchy on loan from Arsenal but Wenger blocked it.

Bottle in February is not the same as Bottle in April.

That is true but at present I believe they'll have it when it counts. Like the cut of their jib for want of a better phrase.

Make no mistake, United aren't the attractive proposition for Spurs players / managers that they were a few years ago.

Time was you left North London for guaranteed silverware, Champions League, international recognition and a big leap in salary.

Only the last of those is guaranteed now, even in the medium term.

The football world is full of mercenaries, no doubt. But that's a competitor space too. If it comes down to money alone then China and Russia. Money and guaranteed success, PSG, Bayern, etc.

Don't be surprised when Spurs players and Poch knock back the mighty reds.

Don't kid yourselves either, Spurs don't have the financial might of United or City or Madrid, but based in their position in the PL, they can pay very, very well compared to most other clubs.

Ahoy captain obvious, Spurs are the fifth biggest club financially in England, they have a sixty k plus stadium on the way and oh by the way, a ten year deal inked with the NFL, they are a financial powerhouse captain, thanks for the sage wisdom on absolutely no subject partner.

I thought I made it fairly clear in my initial post that it's hard to see Pochettino leaving Spurs for United if they win the league?

Regardless - if LVG goes this hiring and firing of managers has to stop. You can't build success that way. It's another reason why Jose must be avoided. He might win/cheat his was to a few trophies but when he leaves in 3 years there will be a mess left behind. Be careful what you wish for, the quick fix rarely works.

Yeah, agree with you. But the contradiction is Chelsea, where they have had a litany of quick fixes. One after another!

Yeah would totally agree with you. Mourinho doesent last anywhere more than three seasons, and what will he leave in his wake? Probably an ageing squad and a dysfunctional setup . I wouldn't have him about the place.

Its certainly been overplayed that Mourinho leaves a team in a mess, where has this happened?

Perhaps at Inter he left an ageing squad but he he was only there 2 years, he spent about £30m in his time at Inter taking into account players leaving and won the European Cup in his 2nd and last season. Chelsea reached the European Cup final the season after he left as did Real Madrid.

This time round at Chelsea he couldn't buy the players he wanted last summer and even over the 3 summers he was there he's only spent about £60m when you take into account the players who have left. Its a fraction of what he was allowed to spend first time round and Chelsea don't have the financial fire power they used to have. He did make a few mistakes in Lukaku and De Bruyne but at the time they weren't good enough to be 1st choice and both players have admitted they were desperate to leave the club.

My main issue with him is his failure to give younger players a chance, his style of football will be similar to what Fergie played from about 2008 onwards. The last season where we were really great to watch was 2007-08.

Its more the environment he leaves behind him than the actual players? Real and Chelsea players were both in open revolt against him by the time he left
