Messages - the goal was on

Was biggin up Derry management for months but was just waiting his chance. Think this tell you all about the man. His predictions for a man of apparently  supreme knowledge have been a disaster too!

Derrys best 3 players missing but  still should have won the game. Didn't think any player on the field looked like they could play senior any time soon. Tyrone only get stronger now and fancy them to beat donegal who wont have roarty

All teams are conceding big totals. Donegal 3.16 at weekend 2.20 the week before in brutal conditions. Its the new norm. Defend the 2 pointer you leave yourself open inside. Stay deep , you can get beat by a few long range shots. The wind plays a major role in gaelic now and im not sure thats a good thing but aint gonna change.

Missing most of last years defence at moment and in those first few games maybe 4/5 summer starters so hard to judge. Niall Devlin big loss as he was in great form . Teague should be back soon and mc geary maybe as well.
A fresh peter Harte too with some luck.  Size is massive issue and no obvious solution to that particular problem. Winter football is a big man's game according to many !

Kennedy only back from long term injury so i guess it was way to build up his fitness. Playing with half the team they had last year by look of it and few very inexperienced lads there too. Derry virtually full out so was always gonna be tough game to win. The kildare game damage was done . need to start seeing improvements in coming weeks. If not then it could be a tough year!

Good to see our county manager doing water boy at a tyrone club game rather than attending the quarter finals in owenbeg! As for o meara, could he be any more full of himself.

Watching from terrace tyrone def only 2 back. Thought ref was gonna call it back after play had stopped. Would have been 2 point opportunity and there was a helping breeze. If this happens in bigger game with more cameras then it will be a real shame.

Quote from: Norf Tyrone on April 30, 2025, 10:19:44 PMThe ref will not call this in Championship football.
It'll be the linesman or 4th official.

The ref turned around and looked straight at it - surely it is up to him then to call it.

I think he turned around as 4 or 5 Donegal men were roaring. Why I don't know.

With a strong breeze its like a 25/30 yard shot for those players. Definitely not worth 2 points.

Maybe you didn't realise but same as Derry game last night once you go into there half it's 11 v11 outfield players regardless of black/red cards . Also you defend 11 v 11 and if they bring keeper up they have the extra man. Farcical situation that surely the FRC should have seen . They only had a whole year to work these things out

Quote from: cjx on February 23, 2025, 09:44:43 PMDisgraceful 2nd half from Tyrone after excellent 1st. What got into them? V 13 no score no ability to work a free man. That is pathetic.

Morgan 7 kicks to Kerry 4 with no challenge. Fullback line a disgrace Too light too young too slow hopeless full back out of place for 2 Clifford goals. Ruari Canavan 2 touches zero contibution Harte similar. Get over it! Bad misses from Bradley and Donnelly in 2nd half and McKiernan who got 2 brilliant 2 pointers in 1st half. What did O'Rourke say at half time? Was a total disaster l think. He needs to change his approach and plans quickly! Relegation looks likely and forget 2025.

Quote from: Don Cockburn on January 21, 2025, 04:56:24 PMRule 42 looks like a token rule at this point.
So long as someone comes waving money, they'll let them in.

Well the fact Derry city don't owe the brandywell would scupper that one!
