Quote from: laceer on February 09, 2026, 09:29:41 AMLooks a good player but should have another 2 years at u20? Not a great look if moving due to non selection for u20 at 17/18.

He would have this year and next year at U-20.

No doubt will kick the winner v Tyrone at some point in the future.

Really hard to know what way the replay will go. Academy won't have as bad a second half again surely and will they give up the same amount of goal chances and even if they do will Abbey me more clinical unlike today? But will the Abbey have as bad a 10-30 minute period in 1st half which nearly cost them? Usually the replay favours the original favourites but not even sure who that was?

Agreed. Got it wrong about him last year. He's prone to a mistake or 2 a game but who isn't especially at that age.

Shame about McGeary too. Thought he could've been on the U20s last year but it is what it is I suppose

What's the story with McGeary? Heard them mention on commentary about Armagh but I'm nearly sure he's played Tyrone minors.
Heard it a while back he's going to play for Armagh from this year on. Didn't believe it but seems like it's true. He would've started U20s this year 100%
McGeary away to Armagh because he wasn't called up to the Tyrone u20 team. Beyond me how he didn't get the call up

very short-sighted from the Tyrone U-20 management.

Academy ride their luck again. Abbey missed a few sitters in front of goal and Academy also fortunate the ref blew up when he did at the end.

Quote from: Aaron Boone on February 03, 2026, 10:48:02 PMCould be the first ever meeting of London v Tyrone in the Tailteann later this season.

That would make iit an interesting year for the GAA statistician community in Tyrone.

Pretty sure Cavan haven't beaten Tyrone in the league since 1997. Was at that game in O'Neill Park, Cavan got a late winner and went on to win the Ulster Championship. If Cavan somehow manage a win this time around then Tyrone v London could not be subsequently ruled out.

Quote from: Captain Scarlet on February 01, 2026, 07:14:41 PMThat's two gut punches for Cavan.
From a Kildare POV I'm happy as it suits us with a win and 2 teams on 0 points.

Tyrone cant really slip up again or else they will be down here for another year.

Cork and Meath going well so far. The only  gimme for Tyrone is playing Offaly in Dungannon. Based on results so far all the other games for Tyrone are 50/50. Imagine having to beat Louth and/or Cavan to stay out of the Tailtean cup!

Maybe we just don't have the players  to compete at the top level anymore. Four points a very poor 2nd half return in the modern game.

Great finish but St. Brigids got away with one with the 45 that should have been given as wide.

Quote from: Tyrone Dreamer on January 11, 2026, 11:02:20 PMDo they not have 9 senior clubs and 7 divisional teams (made up of intermediate and junior players) in senior championship. So 10th best team enters Munster from a strong football county with nearly 60 clubs?

Would it not be fairer if their junior champs went into intermediate?
Of course it would.

Tyrone have 16 in senior and 16 in intermediate don't they? So are sending their 17th and 33rd teams. And are regularly very strong. Who would be (roughly) the 10th best team in Tyrone do you think?

Based on the 2024 season and from the 1st Round losers in the SFC Omagh finished 10th in Division 1.
This season Donaghmore finished 10th in Division 1 but reached the last 8 of the SFC so you would probably swap them with Killyclogher who finished 9th in Division 1 but were knocked out in the first round.
That would be the quality of teams Tyrone would be sending to Intermediate if they only had 9 SFC teams.

This is the weakest Kerry Junior Champions in a long time. Kicked several wides, 2 breaches and the No. 8 looks gassed already, barely got his last free over the bar. It's there for Clogher if they want it.
