Uruguay Captain Diego Lugano voices his support for Suarez.

From his official site:

"I can't believe this. It is a huge mistake that is being made. It is obvious that England has a problem with racism that they're trying to eradicate there, and that is fine, but this sentence has no solid grounds. Luis is a victim. I don't understand how a player like Evra can do this. He's breaking all the codes of football. We all know the kind of person Luis is, the values he has. We are very hurt. When a teammate of ours is suffering, we are all suffering. Now, all there is is supporting him and being with him", he said.

It's not like it was a spur of the moment decision by the FA they even put it back a few days, they didn't believe Suarez side of events and they found him guilty of racially abusing Evra. The danger now with appealing would be that the FA might regard it as frivolous and increase it.

Noticed Cross are 4/7 to beat Crokes. Thats a fair price and evens minus one

Would have went to the game but it's in Portlaois and bound to be on tv. Seen Crokes 3 times on tv this year and they only caught fire last day out (final) Cross have been consistant all year.

Not so sure, both semi finals are on the same day with the same throw in time & the other semi final seems to capturing the media imagination more.

No actually my belief.I believe that the fourth spot in the epl will be between liverpool and man utd and ferguson knows this so he asks for one of his opponents best players to be punished harshly without proper evidence,
How do you jump to that conclusion? MU look like the only side able to challenge City & if they don't win it they should finish 2nd.

How do you actually jump to this conclusion? One of the most depleted squads in the top ten in the Epl.Do you actually believe they will finish second?all they have done since losing to basel is beating wolves at home (relegation candidates) and QPR away (more relegation candidates).Once Man Utd fans realise that the decline is a reality then the might start talking sense.
Your captain knows it's obvious never to write them off.

Hopefully on appeal this can be at least halved, for liverpools sake at least
Probably better not to appeal as the ban will get increased. Doesn't FA,League cup games count in this ban?

I would love to move west. I think it would be great to start picking up provincial championships once again
Lovely Leitrim would be licking their lips as they long for Longford.

It was pretty tragic as it was (I know you didn't mean it that way).

The whole episode is so pointless. Two young men dead, for what?
True it's pointless i wonder what the girl in question makes of the whole episode?

The competitive nature & great rivalry of our province has helped ourselves & Tyrone to All Ireland success moving to leinster or elsewhere would lose that IMO.

which is why L'pool have the second meanest defence in the EPL (after the Arse).

Don't think the Arse have anywhere near the meanest defence in the EPL
Oops!  :-[

Scanned the table too quickly (and somehow overlooked 8 goals at MU and 4 at B'burn Rvrs!  :D).

Anyhow, this still kinda proves my point, which is that L'pool, with the fewest goals conceded in the EPL, rely primarily on tight defensive discipline and a competitive midfield to win games.

Which is why they don't create many easy chances close-in against their opponents.

Which in turn is why they are reduced to shooting from distance, or hoping Suarez will do something special.

Which possibly explains why they are hitting the woodwork more than other leading, attack-minded teams.

Take away the Manchester derby result MU only let in 8 goals in 15 games, would you call them mean in defence? Swansea with less resources have done well in defence Vorm for me has been the best keeper in the Premier league this season i think eight clean sheets already.
