If they had put as much effort into creating jobs and getting some of these scumbags of the dole and into employment rather than this farce. They want to get a meeting as soon as possible to discuss the flags issue. Heres a novel idea. What about urgently meeting to try and deal with issues facing the economy and multitude of other problems facing this place instead of worrying if a f**king flag is flying or not.

Interesting to see how much coverage their comrades on the mainland gave them on the BBC 10'o clock news.

You guessed it. Not a peep. That's how much anyone outside gives a shite about them and their flag.

(iv)   be flown at the Council flagpole in Dunmurry on designated days (plus the two  additional days), making a total of 19 days; and,

The DUP really have made a mess of this one esp. Poots who has been shown up for exactly what he is.

IF he is guilty (it's looking more and more likely he is) of abducting poor April and the police have had him in custody for 3 days why the hell have they not got it out of him what has happened to her and where she is.  If he has done this and sat in police custody for 3 days it makes him a 100 times more sick (if that's possible) that he can sit there knowing where she is and that he can bring this to a close for everyone asap but is prepared to drag it out for as long as possible.  There are some sick b*****ds out there esp. those that can commit a crime against a child.  I would consider myself fairly liberal in my thinking but when it comes to crimes against children I'd argue that there is no punishment too much for these sickos.

How can the OO seriously expect to be welcomed in the streets of Dublin when not one single member can stand up and say that it's wrong to burn another countries flag on a bonfire esp. the flag of the very country they want to organise a march through it's capital.

Least they all have something in common.  They are all muppets.

BTW. It does effect the board.  The site needs to explain to users what cookies are set, what they are used for and seek permission from users to use them.

This is a farce of a law which while there is no question that it has good intentions at it's core it is simply ill thought out by EU bureaucrats who you would think in the current climate had nothing better to be at.  It is ill thought out in terms of the technical aspects of the directive, for example it is not only tracking cookies that are covered but all cookies.  The directive states that sites must have explicit opt-in from users to user cookies unless it is strictly necessary.  Here's the problem there is no definition of what cookies are 'strictly necessary'.  Cookies are used for many purposes on a website other than tracking including giving visitors to a website a better user experience such as remembering a customised view on a website so you don't have to keep setting it each time you visit the site.  These are not 'strictly necessary' but useful none the less and sites must get permission from the user to accept these cookies.

In addition when small business are struggling in the current economic times they are faced to comply with silly directives like this and face additional unnecessary costs to comply with the law.  It's just extra red tape strangling already struggling small business.

All browsers already have the ability to block cookies so educating users on how to use their browsers properly would have been a more sensible solution as the mechanism is already in place, unknowingly to many users.

It's just another law that is going to be impossible to enforce and police.

Anybody who was over charged for the Ulster final get their money back yet?

2 weeks after getting an email from the shambles that is the ticket office saying a refund would be issued promptly there is still no sign of it.  Called them yesterday and it seemed like they had forgotten all about it until I reminded them.  Even at that they didn't appear to care.  When you ask to speak to someone in charge they don't appear to know who is in charge.  Says it all.

Just received this email.

It has come to our attention that, due to an error on our part,
you were charged €35 for the GAA Ulster Senior Championship
Football Final instead of €25.

We apologize for this error. This should never have been the case.

The €10 will be returned to the accounts in question promptly.

Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Le Meas

GAA Ticket Office

So fair play to them for taking the right action.  Still doesn't excuse the complete balls up they have made of season tickets all year.  It wasn't like this was a one off for this game.  How hard can it be to organise properly.  Be interesting to see if I get emailed my ticket for the game on Sat.

Shame this has to be my first post on here but has anyone with a season ticket who went to any of the provincial finals checked their bank accounts.  I and a few other Derry season ticket holders have been charged €35 for my ticket when the email from Croke Park on the 4th July stated Adults where €25.

Total joke.  Hardly surprising with the rest of the c**k ups they have made in relation to season ticket holders.
