He wasn't charged so I see no need to do that. The Subday World is a shameless paper, he was questioned last year but they time their story coincidentally around the Adam Johnson conviction. If he was charged then I would say get rid but on this evidence I don't think it's warranted.

Tyrone in my opinion are flattering to deceive. Lot of ones saying we'll win Ulster, etc but Div 2 is very poor, still have it all to prove. Armagh are in a bad place without Clarke, can't see them featuring prominently this season at all.

Does Trump actually have any policies other than the ambiguous 'we need to get smarter', 'we are losing so bad' and 'we need to figure out what the hell is going on'. His interview on FOX after the Belgium attacks spoke volumes for his total lack of solutions (on terrorism in this instance). He just peddles put the same nothing phrases. If the American public can't see through the fact he is a total bluffer then he is the President they deserve.

So that's roughly 4 months pre season for teams before the start of the league. The training to games ratio in the GAA is laughable for club players. Is winning the Division 2 final that important? Promotion is the only real important thing, don't see why preparation has to be like we're going for the Division 1 title.

Every football club is littered with absolute clowns who think peddling out chants like that makes them a bigger fan as they're giving their rivals abuse, it's pathetic. Very few clubs can take the high ground in this respect. The 'outrage' amongst Liverpool fans is funny as no doubt next week their own fans will be making plane gestures. All as bad as each other.

On the match, United are a shambles, LVG needs to go and 90% of the squad isn't good enough to play for a club the size of United. On Liverpool, good tempo/pressing and should have put the tie to bed. Nevertheless, Liverpool are a mile off being a top team again. Simply the superior of two poor sides.

When McGregor reflects on his life from a few years ago I'm sure it'll soften the blow. He's no longer on the dole aspiring to fight in the UFC. He's a multi millionaire who is still champion at 145.

His confidence was ultimately his downfall. It was foolish to take the fight not making Diaz cut any weight. He gave Diaz maximum opportunity to perform to his best. Whileeee was noble it was foolish as he was moving up a weight class. Diaz size and reach advantage had a massive advantage as McGregor had to look inside for uppercuts rather than straight shots as Diaz reach was beating him to the punch. Also, McGregors power clearly didn't carry the same effectiveness at the higher weight. Diaz never looked dazed or in trouble.

Lastly, McGregor rated his chin too highly. Standing and trading with a naturally bigger man with little to no defence is career suicide. He can do it at 145 as the shots don't trouble him but with bigger men you can't do that.

A humbling night for McGregor, how this affects his persona/mind games/mystique will be interesting. If I'm him I stay at 145 for as long as he can physically make weight. Weight classes in MMA are much more difficult to jump than in boxing and should be respected.

A kick after 3 consecutive hand passes would be some balls. Be loads of tippy 5 meter kicks and teams could play the blanket defence knowing that they stand the opposition up outside the shooting zones and press hard on the mandatory kick pass, making it even harder to probe through the defensive lines.

JUST LEAVE THE GAME ALONE!!!!!!! The GAA must be the most self critical sporting organisation in the world. Our games already are really good and much more viewer friendly than the supposed opposition sports of soccer and rugby.

it's imperfect but I think it's better to have the seasons climax at least when a team has had more than 4 league games.

Some solution should be found so that Reserve league and championship could continue over the summer. Perhaps a list of players who can only play Senior Cship of 13 or 15. Or players can't have played X amount of Senior league games as a starter to be eligible.

Until the county season is shortened it will always be imperfect. Congress could have helped the clubs and shortened the season but it was defeated. I think late championship is the best of a bad bunch of options.

Mark my words, it'll not increase high fielding. In fact it will increase kick outs to the wing to the oncoming runner at chest level. It'll also slow the game down as players will always take the 5 seconds and likely pass the ball backwards from the free while the opposition sprint back into their own half. Nice ideal but in reality it won't work.

Maybe the players could get a vote on these matters? Or do the oul jobsworths at this congress who don't even play anymore get to decide for players currently playing the game?

Totally disillusioned with the GAA. The clubs fcuked over with the season being shortened/no replays bar provincial and AI Final both failing to pass. Lunatics running the asylum.

The mark passed for kick outs caught - without the ball touching the ground - past the 45. Not even a trial????? Holy fcuk what is going on down there.

Would it not have made sense to have the u20 championship at the time of year the u21 is currently on with all players having to play with just the u20s until their county were eliminated from the u20 championship? It ends before the champioship ensues, thus keeping young players from training on 2 different teams.

Additionally, could the sigerson cup not be a competition for students above u20? As it is 90% of players starting for the top colleges are over that age anyway. Herein, players u20 wouldn't be involved in McKenna Cup, etc also as the Unis would have to look at over 20 year old players.

As a result u20 players wouldn't be involved with 3-4 panels at the same time.

Both fighters are top level boxers, ignorant statement. Whether they are the best at the weight remains to be seen.

Head on the block - Frampton (on points)

Read today that there's a meeting in March on the start date for the championship? It's fairly late notice to wait to then to find out when the biggest game of your season is (if it's decided to be May) Ardboe, Errigal and Dromore all spoke for later championship and CCCC fixture planners outlined the difficulties of late championship at the last county board meeting.

So that's when we'll all find out. Assuming the draw will then ensue shortly after that decision?

Would have been sensible to do this 2 months ago...

Surely there will be a rehydration limit imposed, McGregor would have walked into the octagon at 170 fighting at 155 but surely Diaz coukdnt land in at 185 if he wanted? Feel for McGregor having this change of plan again and hope it doesn't cause a loss. I can't see how Conor goes back to 145 after this to fight Edgar. The weight cut will be brutal for him.
