Thanks juice, missed that, I'll do it now.

Would still like to hear from any Gardaí or anyone familiar with the application process though if possible!

I am in final year of college at the moment and I am seriously considering training to be a Garda.  I am from the north, however, so I don't know anyone who has recently trained.  I tried to register my interest at publicjobs.ie but cannot since I don't have a PPs number!

Can anyone advise how long it normally takes to train and how often recruitment takes place?  Also, is it hard to get in?

In addition, if anyone who is a Garda could give me any advice that would be great.

Thanks in advance

How do we see us lining out tonight guys?  According to the media Brown and Neville are out, so Rafael should start at RB I would like to see Evans given more time as well, maybe resting Vidic, but can't see Fergie starting him.  Up front I think Rooney and Tevez may start.  Berba has started the last 8 I think, so would be good to see tevez and rooney together again.  Looks like Foster in nets  Think we'll line out something like this:

Foster

Rafael Vidic Ferdinand Evra

Ronaldo Carrick Fletcer Park

Tevez Rooney

Local GAA Discussion / Re: Fermanagh Football & Hurling

Cheers guys.  I really don't think Ferris has what it takes to be an inter-county footballer, and I also agree that James Sherry is nowhere near nasty enough.  However, I could certainly see him doing a job at FF.  He is a great fielder.

Hopefully Owens will be back for the championship next year.  We also will have Bogue and Ciaran O'Reilly back as well (Both underrated IMO).

I just feel once again the FF will be a problem.  No-one has been able to fill the role since Stevie Maguire left the panel, and to be honest maybe there's no-one in the county capable of doing that job as effectively as he did.

I know there's a separate thread for the ulster championship draw but from a purely Fermanagh perspective how do we feel?  I think Down will be difficult, but if we do get passed them then another final appearance could be on the cards.  I know people wished we weren't in the preliminary round but perhaps it will be to our advantage to have played another championship game if we meet Donegal in the semis.

Hey guys, can anyone see anyone knew breaking into the fermanagh XV next year?  I didn't get to see a lot of club championship games this year so don't really know who stood out but some people have talked about paul ward from Derrygonnely very highly.

Still doesnt appear to be any solution at FF though.  If we had another midfielder then perhaps we could throw murphy in there.

Whats the situation with Owens??

The local at home has all pints at 2.60 and shorts at 2.10.

Hatfield - 3.10 a pint
The bot - 3.00 a pint, although the bot currently have an offer on - most pints 2quid from two till seven mon to thurs.  Not bad value.  Both the eg and the parlour have 3 for a fiver on selected drinks!

Oh its great being a student  :)

I totally agree champ15.  Nani's delivery is brutal at times.  I know that everyone sometimes delivers poorly but Nani consistently fails to beat the first man.  Its very frustrating to watch  >:(

But fergie generally isnt wrong about players so hopefully he'll improve with time.

Ronaldo and Giggs weren't great at the crosses in their early days either.

Fortunately I cannot remember Giggs' early days  :P but i dont think ronaldo was as bad!

The one thing i will say though is that ronaldo got a steady run of games in his early days.  Whereas nani has had giggs and park for competition, ronaldo had a free reign (maybe fletcher and kleberson his opposition??)

I think Fergie persists with players even when he has got it wrong, just in an attempt to prove himself right

I'm not too sure about that.  The only player that i can think of that fergie has stuck with for years that hasnt came good is o'shea.  fletcher/park have came good, whereas most of the other underperformers (Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson) were sold on pretty swiftly

Do u guys think tickets will be hard to come by for the Sunderland game at home?  We have two tickets sorted, just need another two!

If that midfield came up against Fergal Doherty of Derry and Enda McGinley (he of Tyrone fame)  I'd say mine would come out on top  :P

Well mcgrath took doherty to the cleaners in the first round of the champ.  And whoever tyrone were playing in midfield got cleaned out by Gordon in the first round of the championship also??

What? Is this some fictitious game you made up where Doherty and McGrath played against eachother? It didn't happen! Doherty was suspended against Fermanagh you eejit... AND it was the semi final!

Apologies guys, i hold my hands up!  I wouldnt mind but i was at the game so should have known.  I knew that mcgrath and gordon dominated midfield in both those games and forgot that doherty wasnt playing!

Still wouldnt change the team though  :P
