To be honest, I haven't seen enough of them over the last 5 years to warrant an opinion on them. I don't have sky sports, but from what I read about them since OGS took over they do seem to have relied on individual moments to see games through and win.

That's essentially it, along with an over dependence on penalties. There is a talented bunch there but there is no direction from what I can see. No structured game plan as such. Play on the break and hope to score.

I actually think it's overly structured and defenses know what's coming. Occasionally something unpredictable happens or is done by a player using his initiative and that's what creates the chances.

Sunday night was a big win for Lamar. He needed that one. I don't watch college football much but when I heard of some of the pinball numbers he was putting up I followed him for a while. The talent is outrageous. I think he's getting there as a thrower but not as good as the top throwers just yet. Unmatched as a runner ever though.

Did I hear PSG with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe drew with Club Brugge?

Feel like I should apologise to Crossmaglen Hitmen after surviving my old friend Aaron's -1.34 points by the narrowest of margins.

Saturday September 4th is bad for me but particularly after 8.30pm or so.

I'm in - Coolera Bears. I don't check in here that often any more so DM me if needed please. Thanks again for running this league.

Are you doing an S&C program to strengthen the calf muscles? I had never any issues with muscle injuries but had a calf tear a couple of years ago. Physio told me my calf muscles weren't strong enough so told me to prioritise S&C for them. Was never an issue when playing football all the time. Might help you.

This is interesting. I find the draught cans drinkable to a point but I get bored or sick of them after a short while (2/3 usually). If the Surger cans and the unit are significantly better as Gallsman indicates then I'd definitely be interested. Any other reviews?

Long overdue, but thank you, Oakleaf, for running the league, a fun distraction in this dismal time.

Agreed - thanks a million for running this league.

The Bears were a total shambles last night. Some of their penalties were just unbelievable stupidity.

Shambles is a bit harsh. Made some really terrible errors, most notably the dropped TD pass that hit Wims between the numbers and the neutral zone infraction on 4th down. That was 11 points with those two mistakes alone. Excellent defense though even with several key starters missing. Just a shame they wasted that much money on Foles when they could/should have got a bit more quality for the offence with that wasted money.

My 11th season in this league (there have been 13 in all). Won it once, 2nd 4 times, 3rd once and 4th another time. The Jets are the first team to retain the title in league history and only the 3rd team to have won 2 titles (Savage Bears and the founding Commish, Faithful Turfmen B). It's a great competition each year. Well done all.

Congratulations New York Jets XII on winning the Super Bowl and for finishing the season undefeated, a phenomenal achievement.

Unbelievable achievement. First ever perfect season in this league (A) I think.

Thought I had the Jets in the semi final. I probably did well to make the semi finals.....been a constant battle. Good luck to all the finalists.

He's a talented player but you have to construct your team around him, i.e. the rest of the team cover off his mistakes. France seemed to have done that in the WC. In the EPL he seems to be a target for opponents....they know there's a mistake in him and usually force it.

Bottom line is he doesn't have the workrate or discipline for this team. I couldn't see how Guardiola would use him or want him. He needs to go back to Italy I think. I was one who wanted to give him more chances than most but time is well and truly up now. I understand why Ole tried to make it work - a signal of intent to the youth/academy section. "If you're one of us you'll get your chance..." sort of thing. A few that came through the system were let go prematurely perhaps and are solid performers for good EPL sides so maybe that was part of his plan. Anyway - it's time to end the Pogba circus.

As for tonight - very tough tie and I guess it depends on United. We kind of know what we'll get from RB Leipzig. Think United will have to defend well first and foremost and you'd alsways fancy them to get one on the break with the forward talent available. I'd like if Cavani was playing but that's not to be. Rashford might go through the middle and will have to work very hard.

Realistically, how much game time would he get at City?
