For all the initial scepticism about the Glazers, nobody can argue that they haven't put their money where their mouths are. They pumped more into wages last season than any other club in England and given the amount they have spent since Fergie left, the protests about a lack of spend were slightly misguided. I think it was more a case of Fergie being prudent with the clubs money than no money being available around the time of the initial protests. No doubt their main objective is to make money out of the club but in fairness they have invested heavily in the last couple of seasons.
