Kearney lapped up everything that was thrown at him. He has a real chance to establish himself as the best full back in the world with Byrne out. In fairness I think he is better than Byrne anyway but the next few months will confirm this.

He's a poorer attacker than Byrne and scores alot less tries. As much as I want Kearny to be the best full back in the world I dont think he is as good as everyone makes out.

Solid performance if unspectacular, beat the Springbok at their own game, Kearney, Bowe and Earls all very comfortable under the high ball, all 3 have solid GAA backgrounds and it shows.

Not much to add that already been said expect I thought O'Leary was exceptional today in that he played like an extra flanker and made sure we won our own ball by hitting the ruck when he had to.

Kidney is a definitely a role model for any aspiring coach across any code and his subtle transformation of this team has been fantastic to behold.

Think I'll travel to the France game as that will be the title decider.

Whilst Im aware of the other two's GAA background is that one about Earls true? Didnt realise he had much of a GAA background? ???

What's the craic with all the handlebar moustaches?

The commentary said its to do with fundraising for Movember, a prostate cancer charity. Great cause and one that affects alot of people. Fair play to all. Basically I think it involves not shaving for the month or something like that.

That's in the South, up North it is not washing for a month. Well supported too.

That's the traditional attempt. However the abundance of water in the South lately made such a commitment impossible for many so they dont shave instead.

Good a win as it was there's a major problem with the Sport. The Northern Hemisphere's best and southern Hemisphere's best serve up one try between them. Referee was a problemA great win but all in all a very poor match.

is mc ginn def heading to the lough. I thought he would be looking back to dromore esp if porter and goodwin are stepping down. has coalisland appointed yet. I think an experienced manager with pedigree is needed to take them on.

Why would Porter and Goodwin step down after winning the Championship?

Porter doesnt want to be a manager and Goodwin can't. Simple as.

Wouldn't write FF off just yet. Will (like all Govt incumbents) probably lose next General Election....... but to say they are f...ked is ott.
A new leader and the putting out to pasture of the "old guard" and FF will be back with a vengeance. Still have the loyalty of the small farmer and the urban working classes by and large (though not as much as they had).

FF also have a better calibre of TD which garners them votes despite the party's unpopularity.

Dead right.

All them red top tabloids are absolute pure shite!. I have to say that I never bought a red top tabloid ever.

I used to buy the Beano when I was small. Same thing really.......

Except for page 3.... ;)

Really is a shit paper.  Is it wrong for me to judge the people that buy this paper?
Yes. They are usually the products of a society that failed them. Without mounting the high horse here and spouting aload of shitology, i just want to say most of their readers wouldn't have chose the life they were given or inherited.
Bollocks to that. Iv seen university educated, affluent, gaa supporters reading it. Judge them surely, idiots!
Oh well yeah you can judge arseholes like that.

The diving 'joke' will be along soon...  ::)

Look, the lad is bone dry so this must be photoshopped. There is no way a Tyrone man could get that close to goal without falling over.

Goal area's are slippy, Pauric Ready and Darragh O'Se will testify to that.

What does your plublication say about the lowering of society's standards and press sensationalism for financial gain?  ??? ???

You mean the Sunday World?... not FOXNEWS  :-\

As a company, either, but it was primarly directed at the Sunday World.

The government have played an absolute blinder in turning it into a public versus private debate.

I'm non-union public sector and didn't agree with the strike but didn't pass the picket.  If it escalates it's going to get very messy - I can't afford to be losing pay over something I don't even agree with, but it's a rotten thing to have to walk in past colleagues.

The biggest problem in the sector was the policy of closed promotions over the years meant SOME people are in very well paid jobs that they aren't properly qualified for and would never have got in open competition.  Wage cuts might relieve some of the immediate pressure but that's a far bigger problem that needs to be addressed in the longer term.

Just a small point on the shopping queues - I'd say a large portion of shoppers were parents forced into taking the day off to stay with school going children.

And yes friends of mine were shocked when I went into the public sector 4 years ago because the wages were so low (half what I'd had in my previous job), but  I needed a job and was limited by location etc.

Rubbish. The unions played this on thier own. Firstly because I think the government are too incompetent to play it as well as it working out and secondly no-one would take their side if they waded in.

As napoleon said "dont interupt your enemy whilst their making a mistake". The government need to cut 1.3 billion. The unions tried to get their revenge in first, and muster up support from others. It backfired, badly, and all the government did was sit and grin. Don't attempt to credit the incompetent gobs with this.

Maybe it was the depression that drove Lennon to cheat on the mother of his children with some young 'un.

Libel, reported. Neil Lennon is many things but he is not a paedophile. I suggest you remove that post ASAP.

Whilst not taking anyone's side here, its obvious that he meant a younger one not a U-17 or whatever. Calm down.
