The best card game ever imo. I wonder are there many on here under the age of forty who would know how to play it.It seems to be a dying pastime. Partners is a great version of it, here in Birmingham we often had 9 players to a table.(3 lots of 3 partners).

Does anyone on here know the name of the Italian music in the episode where Carmella dances with Furio? Btw Paulie would be my favourite character as well.
There is a wiki page with all music used in the Sopranos.

See the below link:

The very one Nrico cheers.

I'm not giving the year but.....

The Indians, at the Nuremore, Co. Monaghan
The Nolan Sisters, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal
Gary Glitter, Queens Student Union, Belfast
Squeeze, Queens Student Union, Belfast

Happy, innocent, carefree days without any of the modern age cynicism.
The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart & The Faces & Slade, all at the Odeon Birmingham New St. Happy, carefree days as you said Orior, I can't believe how innocent the majority of us were back then. The only concerts I've been to since then have been Springsteen ones(plenty of them).

I don't pretend to know anything about playing a sax but I do know what I like, I've just finished listening to Jungleland on the live in NYC album, would make the hairs stand on the back of your neck. RIP Clarence thanks for the memories. Btw Fearglasmor great post, summed it up perfectly for me as well.

Just started the Harry Bosch books by Michael Connelly, has anyone on here read them?  I don't know who recommended Sebastian Barry's A Long Long Way but I have just finished it, an excellent read. Any more recommendations for books about this subject, it seems it's a period in history that not very much has been written about.

Best foreign language film I have ever seen is one called Jeux d'enfants or "Love me if you dare" in English.

It's kind of a messed up love story but very funny and very clever with a great storyline and great acting in it.

Marion Cotillard (Inception) is also another reason to watch it!!
Have you or anyone else on here seen Jean de Florette or its sequel Manon des scources? Great story set in rural France but it could be set amongst country people anywhere.

Surely Ronnie Whelan, Mark Lawrenson and the original "white Pele" Jim Beglin played in a semi in the mid eighties? Its a stretch including Lawrenson so Ziggy90 is probably right.

They played in the 1985 (Heysel) final.
Great shout I completely forgot about them.
