If that lot 'kicks off' again God knows where it will lead?
I've worked with lads from all around that region and the pure venom they feel for their neighbours is frightening.

Boycey, I was thinking that myself. Someone may have just eaten a banana and fired it in frustration at his own team or at an opposing player. I donít know what they eat at soccer matches, but Iíve seen manyís an apple, orange, banana etc eaten at GAA matches.
The default interpretation of an incident where a banana/banana skin is thrown at a black player, is that it's racist. Same with making monkey noises. Intent does need to be proven before the offensive person be found guilty. The action itself is proof of racism in football grounds since the year dot. It is astonishing that some here don't know that.

It would be up to the offender to offer an extraordinary explanation to establish some doubt, in all likliehood most all defences would defy belief because  a person would have to be utterly bereft of intelligence  to throw a banana skin in innocence at a black player, unless perhaps they went by the name of Rip Van Winkle and had been asleep for the last 20 to 50 years.

Succinctly put MS. And it's not as if these actions  are confined to England.

I've been going to 'soccer' matches for well over fifty years and I don't remember anyone eating a banana at one.
I do remember however plenty of bananas been thrown at Black players.

I was there last Easter. It was rammed full of tourists around The Charles Bridge area but if you go early in the morning you should avoid them.
One spot where we did go was the St Cyril and Methodious Church. It's the place where Heydrich's assassins hid out after the shooting. Well worth a visit. Watch the films Operation Daybreak or Anthropoid for some background information. Fantastic story.
Opposite it is a restaurant called the Parachutist, top-notch Czech food and not at all expensive. Try the Pork Knuckle absolutely delicious.
Stay out of Italian and other suchlike establishments, they're nearly all rip-off merchants.
Enjoy, a wonderful city.

And don't I know it!!
The best team won alright with no little help from a ref  who was clueless. If Adams had put away that chance I think we might have won easily as the Vile were on the ropes but fine margins and all that?
According to the Vile fans celebrating with a gay fest last night they're certainties for automatic promotion.  ::)

Only the day after

Funnily enough the thought did cross my mind yesterday.  :o

Agreed, this division hasn't settled down at all. Im beginning to believe we mightn't get relegated after all.  :)
On another note: gamblers must steer well clear of the Championship?

Indeed it does. There's a big 'head in the sand' attitude to this  crime and its perpetrators.

Does anyone else look at the strength of the wine before buying?
The Black Stump (Aussie Shiraz) is 15% and lovely and smooth to drink.
