But sure Harte and McKenna weren't allowed to train with Tyrone for the last two months due to player burnout. So maybe he's doing them a favour by not making them play in every McKenna Cup game.

:D :D :D :D :D Have you been out of the country during November and December.  :D :D :D :D :D :D

Micky Harte is correct in going for the McKenna Cup.

With a team like that, he won't win too much else.

Crossmaglen would give that team some roasting.

Surprised  that BBC and UTV didn't seem as horrified about the violence between Portadown and Glenavon in Craigavon as they were about Dromore and Creggan. Will Wendy have a special "talkback" to discuss it?

The test will come in championship time to see how accomodating they will be. How many gaels go tgo the McKenna Cup anyhow. Just a ploy tgo get some extra money in which they wouldn';t have got anyway

That has to be the worst Tyrone panel in 2 decades. It wouldn't surprise me if they finished up with Fermanagh.

The greatest fear that I would have in all this is that people like Stronghold, CK, rogueryhill, overpostawide, behind the wire are actually graduates or undergraduates  and may have some role in my future concerning my future medical well being, finance or in government.
FFS, boys give it a rest as nobody on here gives a Sh**te about either Queen's or UUJ.
When I was at Queens, I thought this university football was important until I left and realised nobody gave a dam. As for which is the smartest university, GROW UP, you are no longer schoolboys.

tommo no dromore players involved in fighting so how can they be suspended

I suppose gaby got a black eye from walking into a door in the changing room then  ::)

He didn't get hit in the game according to the DVD so maybe the Dromore woman he married deservedly gave it to him when he got home  ???   :D

On a serious note, in my opinion the county board have made a complete farce of the league next year if these 2 can't compete for it.

They should nhave had the balls to put them out of the league altogether and allow decent teams to play.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I think alot of people are definitely underestimating Burren.
Id say that this is the game they have been wanting to get since they lost out last year to cross.
Id be surprised if they sit back this time and admire cross for the first 30mins like they did last year.
Yes they might be weakened with suspensions and injuries but still dont think this one will pan out as some people think.
Cross are an excellent side, dont get me wrong, but if im honest i see Burren taking them this time round to make amends for 12 months previous.

On the game last sunday, i was impressed with Latton's sheer guts and spirit. They never gave up and kept plugging away, a very honest, hard-working effort from the Monaghan men. Lennon was a colossus in the middle of the field and had no equal, only for their shooting they would have perhaps taken Burren. Burren did what they had to when it mattered and would be happy enough to stutter unconvincingly into an ulster final and be labelled as underdogs.

Totally unrelated i know, but was wondering could anyone clear this one up. Was entering the ground at Armagh on sunday and seen Michael McGill the former Down player, he had a Burren tracksuit on. Was he not a Warrenpoint player previously, or was he their manager or what. Is he involved with the Burren team or whats the connection there. Settle a dispute amongst friends.

He has pulled into the caravan site beside the McCartans.

Ulster:

1. Paul Hearty (Armagh)
2. Karl Lacey (Donegal)
3. Neil Magee (Donegal)
4. Justin McMahon (Tyrone)
5. James Loughrey (Antrim)6. Ryan McCluskey (Fermanagh)
7. Aaron Kernan (Armagh)
8. Eoin Lennon (Monaghan)
9. Sean Cavanagh (Tyrone)
10. Joe McMahon (Tyrone)
11. Marty Clarke (Down)
12. Seanie Johnstone(Cavan)
13. Eoin Bradley (Derry)
14. Michael Murphy (Donegal)
15. Stevie McDonnell (Armagh)

Maybe Skinner could swap with Seanie

Obv Marty may be away.

Ryan McCluskey remains a class act, havent seen many better on the ball

Paddy Bradley if fit would be in contention as would Steven O'Neill

Gold is a man who definitely keeps up with the times. :D

Thought Kenny Archer's article and biased attack on Carricmore[was Dromore not involved in this also] was an absolute disgrace. But thyen what else would one expect from this third rate journalist. His previews and reports on games defies belief. The man just doesn't have a clue.

Very refreshing views here from a county player with respect to how the co board treat club players...

http://www.teamtalkmag.com/?p=10858

Fair play to Ricey. Time the club players stood up and stop being treated like second class citizens. All the county boards trhink of is the county teams and use the club players as a money making tool to support the county teams. I think the club players should organise an association like the the elitist GPA and not allow themselves to be walked over. Criminal to think that county boards spend 85% of income on county teams while club players haveto raisie  funds for themselves.
Lets get the GCA [Gaelic Club Association] up and running.

What would the Tyrone county board have been saying if Tyrone had to play an All Ireland quarter final the sunday after winning the Ulster Championship.

Remember the  county boards can't exist without the club players.

Instead of time suspensions for players from now, players who are sent off should be made to watch  a number of repeats of that depending on the severity of their offence.
