The original Mr Gough was the last referee from north of the border to get an AI senior final back in 1983. If each county had an equal chance of representation, there should have been another half a dozen since then. As officials from the Wee Six never get a look-in for the hurling at all, they are entitled to feel pretty disgruntled.

I'd love to agree with you and there's been some pretty decent hurling referees in the North recently, I just think they're not exposed to southern hurling enough during their formative years, mainly logistics and possible arrogance from the hurling elite and you've only to look how Barry Kelly was initially frowned upon when refereeing in the Munster championship years ago and him being from Westmeath and all...

'Match-fixing occurs 'when a player or referee deliberately under-performs during a sporting contest to ensure that one team loses or draws the match' (Source: Hill, 2013)

Perhaps Paddy Power should release the footage of the alleged persons that placed the bets.

Absolute disgrace.

Manager does not seem to be able to command the respect of the players but I'm sure it's not easy when some players have no respect for themselves.

Should be fully exposed and dealt with accordingly.
online gambling is the way forward am told.  f**king snakes.  Makes my blood boil thinking about this. The great players within my own club who have played for the county.  Don't think you'd have seen Aidan Mc Carry or Sean Paul Mc Killop do the likes of, it use to be a honor to pull on the county colors.  Now you've some of these lads that are happy with a bit of free gear and don't bother there arse.   f**king shame on you!!!   And I've a small feeling that a few lads have been watching this forum pretty closely for the naming and shaming we've talked about.  Or so am told. I'd say the smart men involved are shiting there pants now at the thought of it.  Not so smart now.

as much as I agree with you SG, these guys will feel smart until someone actually comes out and names them. They are getting away scot free until they are outed.
BTW has anyone thought of the legal implications of this? Is it fraud? I think they might have a case to answer

General discussion / Re: Solar Panels, Yay or Nay?

Just wanting to know thoughts on Solar Panels;

Bought a house in a new development which is nearing completion. Solar Panels for heating water has been stated in the spec, although the builder has since contacted me to see if i want them or not, with an offer of another £1k for PC Sums.

I'm wondering what effect the solar panels actually have and do they give the hot water 24/7 as has been stated.

Go to the developer and ask him to provide the details and spec of the solar panels you can get for £1k. Its a huge mistake buyers fall for...the principle of a PC sum is that you should be able to buy that item for the sum mentioned, in this case the SP should be available for £1k. Likewise kitchens for £1k  (or less), go and ask for a sample of what he's providing, if he cant then get on to your solicitor

the big lad from Fermanagh and our Marty need to step into this, take their respective party members out of this situation and let their nr 2's take over the Casement thing. Then we can maybe get £60m released into the economy

Signed up to a personal trainer for 6 weeks in January and early Feb. Also recording everything I eat on the MyFitnessPal app (free to download). It makes you think twice about what you eat. The PT is drawing me up a dietary plan.

Nutri bullets are great for getting all the goodness in and makes a tasty alternative to a bun with tea at work or cake after dinner!

just downloaded this, looks the part

Lads, any games  in adult football or hurling happening either Saturday day or Sunday morning around the Falls road/Falls park area, wanted to go up and have a look at St. Galls ground (across from Miltown cemetery yeah?)

There's an u14 girls football blitz on Sunday morning in St Galls starting at 10am, I think there's around 20 teams going to it
