Some of the bit players would be good enough, if they get enough games in the McKenna and the League.

Any more word of Marsden's rumoured return to the fold? Is he training with the county or not?

17th is awfully high for county Down.  ;)

Is this another concession to the DUP who want to reduce the amount of backdoor schenanighans?

This move will favour the stronger teams, but is a couple of years too late for Ard Mhacha  >:(

The Greatest Non GAA Sporting Moment, EVER, is MY Greatest Non GAA Sporting Moment, EVER!

Sorry, I dont have a picture, but it was a 10k road race in Newry in 1985. I finished about 15th in a time of 34:30.

Should we have a separate county team thread?

Anyhow, the McKenna Cup team should be interesting with the students and dem XMG boys absent. Is everyone else back in training? Might North Armagh get a better representation?

  • Hearing stories from people who saved packets caused they've the brass neck to ask Tescos for staff discount at the checkout till
  • People who return their dinner in a restaurant when there is feck all wrong with it
  • Shops that don't have proper queuing
  • Smelly toilets
  • Having bought a new TV and half the screen disappears but being too busy to take it back
  • Downtown Radio 7am to 9am presenters who read surveys about Britons but never the Irish
  • Missing 12 inch putts
  • The English media
  • Loosing stuff when all I did was put it somewhere safe
  • Iced over windscreens when I'm in a rush to get into work
  • Airports named after Hollywood movie stars (I'm never flying into Bob Hope or John Wayne)
  • Dogs fouling at my front gate

Exciting enough game, played in awful conditions. Crossmaglen's quality showed through in the end.

I've been a critic of John Donaldson in a county shirt but I was very impressed by his display today. David McKenna is also coming through too, but he needs to learn to off-load the passes quicker. (He reminded me of a young Orior in that respect). Good to see Oisin working hard and getting involved. I noted the BBC said the ball was bundled over the line for a goal, but it looked like a rocket to me!

The ref spoilt things a bit in the first half as some foul  tackles were due to the conditions but overall there was no animosity and both teams concentrated on football.

Well done Ziggy. Dizzy heights eh?
