United are lacking in a couple of positions, but the lack of top class coaching and tactics is the bigger problem.

Milltown Row2

Jesus, it's not difficult to coach intensity, heart, effort and passion, you either have it or you don't! Those are basic skills you'd expect your team to put in for the manager/club/supporters/themselves.

You've either have those basics or you don't. Ole isn't getting the basics from his team

Ole is the firewall for the Board. The lads upstairs are hiding behind a former hero/legend. Ole is just their Yes man.

That's as comprehensive a beating as the Liverpool game, be surprised if Ole survives, it United have any ambition at all he should be chased.

I think it's been a case of them sticking with Ole, to say 'we're not a sacking club'. But the longer it goes on, the worse it becomes.

But would it be any better with a new manager? The best manager in the world would need 2 seasons to shift all that dead wood. And there is a shit load of dead wood.  All this talk of United having a good squad is nonsense. The squad is piss poor. Especially in key positions.

Ole was getting credit for shifting the dead wood at the club not too long ago. Had he replaced deadwood with deadwood?

Yes. McTominay Rashford Greenwood AWB Lingard Matic Bailly Lindelof etc are squad players at best. But that's half of this current team!

CM is a joke. The defence is a joke. The goalkeeper is  poor and two 30+ strikers are leading the front. Where/who are the leaders? Who do you look to when things aren't going well? Who will grab the game by the throat and inspire those around him?
Come on....

Agreed.

No idea if this is true or not as can't verify it, but if correct its shocking. 21% of Man Utd's home defeats in PL history have come under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And possibly the best away record in PL history! Stats are grand but Stevie wonder can see they lack desire, they remind me of Big Ron's team of the 80's

Impotent from Utd again today, will ole survive another turgid performance?

Yes.  He's harder to get rid of than red wine off a sofa.

His side is so passive.  Shaw leaving that ball for Silva to pounce on to it.  He should have been hooked soon after.  No closing down, no intensity throughout the team.  That must have been very difficult for the Man U supporters to watch today.  Never laid a glove on City.

That's just, like your opinion man.

Come on what?

In terms of what United currently have, then you could srgue they start regularly. But in terms of their actual quality and what they bring, they are far from being top quality players

Who hires the managers at Man Utd?  They need to be replaced whoever they are.

RedHand88

Ole just needs more time. He's only had 3 years to shape his team. Give him another £100m.

tiempo

They could do a lot worse than promote Paul McShane out of the U23s

Ed Woodward hired Moyes,LVG, Mourinho and Solskjaer. He's stepping down from that position and another business man buddy Richard Arnold is expected to replace him.
