Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

Do any of you think that Clonoe may have learned from all the hype the Fianna surrounded themselves with last year. As much as I would like to see a "new name " on the cup, I am not sure if I could listen to them for a year! I really think this one will go to the wire.

Incidentally did any of you read the hoganstand stand report on the ladies league final from Carmen. They thanked someone who provided the dietary requirements! Had ladies football got that serious that food is being provided after training or are they all heavy and being starved.

Lads, is the reserve league over or whats the story with it? Not that anyone playing reserve football is worried at this stage off the year but i never heard anything about. Clonoe must not have won it or we would have heard by now!!

It looks to be true ok. I know his girlfriend works is a pharmacist down that direction and she calls the shots. He will be a big loss and Cavan Gaels will gain a wholehearted gael and an all round good chap.

As someone with no connection to Derry football I would have no reason to take either side in this debate although I am a big fan of the Ballinderry club. I have friends from Newbridge who were at the game and they saw a heated debate between a man they knew as McIldowneys dad and another man they did not know. The man they did not know kicked the twins father, who was on the step below, on the chest knocking him to the ground. It was then that the twins came into the crowd.

Oh dear. Very bad timing for Clonoe. I would say this would hand a big advantage to Carmen. The "cuter" Carmen players will be letting the Clonoe players know this early as well so it is a big test mentally.

Fianna are not keeping their cards close to their chest! I just think after last years false dawn that the players are a bit daunted by the Dromore game. A few people went to see Dromore play in Carmen a week ago and they said we would struggle to cope with the physicality that was in that game. But it is a rest of character so lets see how the youngsters react.

Kildress will beat Donaghmore in my opinion again because of physical strength and Donaghmores poor forward unit. If Shane Mulgrew is marked well then Donaghmore will struggle bit time.

Ardboe will beat Eglish. I have not seen either but on paper Ardboe look good. But football is not played on paper and Eglish have a few damn good footballers who will anyone bother on their day.

Clonoe will come up short against Carmen. I think with the weather, the time of the year, the intensity and time limit that the championship has to be played at...it is set up for Carmen to win back the O'Neill cup. Their reserves have won the league (I think) with the likes of Paul Hughes and Peter Loughran back to the fore, experience could be the key.

;) ;) no one has bothered to mention a wee disturbance after the Carman v Dromore game! Why? I think (barring extra rime) that this is the 7th time they have drew since 2004

Tommy, Connor Gormley never played minors. He was infact on the Tyrone senior squad before he was picked by Mickey for the U21s. Ricey never played minor football either. This is the 1 problem I can see with the introduction of development squads, that we are missing a certain percentage of our talented players. Ah well, it sems to be working.

I like the look of Conor Gormley at 20/1. If Tyrone are to win he will have a big big game and he has been improving every game this year. As well as that the Sunday game pundits would ride him!!!

I never heard. I dont think my source was at it either. God but you would be keen for football if you follow challenge games throughout Ulster. You need a good feed of Vodka and RB.

Carrickmore are looking good in Tyrone. They are absolutely hammering teams in the league without Conor Gormley, and these are teams who are still left in the championship. I heard them and Cross had a good "workout" last week in Cross.
