There's one in the old town that normally shows the games. Can't remember the name.

The fact is that history is written by the winners.

That better not be a Vince Lombardi quote!

Q. Did you hear the Post Office just recalled their latest stamps?
A. They had pictures of ARMAGH players on them and people couldn't figure out which side to spit on.

Q. What do you have when 100 ARMAGH fans are buried up to their neck in sand?
A. Not enough sand.

Q. You're trapped in a room with a tiger, a rattlesnake, and a ARMAGH fan.
You have a gun with two bullets. What should you do?
A. Shoot the ARMAGH fan - twice.

Have you any more of them, absolute genius......... ;D

There's loads more of them. And they are all equally original as these......

I thought Carr was after the Cavan job?
Surely we should set our sights a little higher than a man who would willingly manage them boys. ;) ;D

I think it'll be a shoot-out.
Kerry 2:15
Tyrone 1:14

To be honest, I got tired of all that Vince Lombardi bullsh*t years ago. Meaningless stuff. There is far too much emotion involved in gaelic games preparation if you ask me. Thats why we get teams completely flopping on the big day so often. They have to be whipped into some kind of cannibalistic frenzy before they can play with any kind of intensity. It's interesting that the notable exceptions to this, Tyrone and Kerry in football and Kilkenny in hurling are the most successful yet have the least expressive managers win, lose or draw. Roaring and shouting will only get you so far. Ask Davy Fitz.

Did Armagh not have some sort of red book a few years back?

Boys and girls, will half off you go away and catch yourselves on. I know for a fact, and it was not Pete Donnelly who told me, that all the players did not agree with Stevie returning but they decided that the majority rules. One player actually said "if he comes back and gets on before me, I wont be inthe city west on Sunday night".
It is also interesting to note (bearing in mind they always go against the flow anyway) that at a question and answers night in Carrickmore in Saturday night Sean Kelly actually put the vote to a packed Parochial hall as to whether it was right or not that Stephen returned. The response was very much split. Bernard Flynn, who was on the panel, said Sean Boylan would have had a mutiny on his hands if it happen in his day.

It kind of did happen when Colm Coyle was brought back into the panel at a late stage during the championship years ago. Can't remember when exactly (Hardy or one of the lads might know) but I think he had been in America for a while. I believe he got some doing in his first training session.
Lyons, Harnan & Co. were lining up to welcome him back. ;D

Fair enough, and if you're right I'll congratulate you on your insight. However, ability overrides hunger at this stage of the SFC and I firmly believe Tyrone have shown in the last month they're back to the side that we know they can be.

I got this nagging feeling watching the hurling. I was thinking ahead to the football and just as the question could justifiably be posed about who did Waterford beat to make that final, the same could be said of Tyrone. Kerry have had harder games against better opposition. I don't by any means think it will be a landslide but I do think Kerry will win.

I think all this talk of O'Brien is premature - I don't think the interviews been even held yet?

As for O'Rourke - I honestly don't think he'll ever manage Meath.
Now was the time to do it and he decided not to go for it, I can't see why waiting makes any difference. Football is not like that, you don't wait and pick a cycle to hop onto - God knows what life brings. I know he did an interview a few years ago but (correct me if I'm wrong here) in that case he only presented to the CB rather than went for the job or withdrew I think?

One good thing I think is that if it's an 'unknown' like O'Brien or Kelly it might keep a little media pressure off the rest of the team rather than a bigger name.

I thought it interesting that Boylan criticised the players too for lack of pride in playing for the county a few weeks back too.

He was dead right. I dunno if O'Brien is the right man for the job though. He needs to get a good physical trainer in and let him do his job first of all. I'd personally love to see Trevor back in action. We didn't appreciate him enough first time round.

With the exception of Tommy Walsh it's like watching 15 Ivan Lendls grind down the opposition. Top class stuff certainly, but not my preferred viewing.

He had lovely wrists.
