Certainly should have been a straight red. Surely retrospective sanction is a real posibility?

The second one may or may not have been deliberate. But yes he should not have been on the field by then. Hendo should have went.

To call him "vile" is a bit strong. Clearly what Costa has does is nothing like the scale of say Suarez's actions. I'm a fan of neither team but I don't recall too many Liverpool fans calling Suarez "vile"

Massive effort, but when you're chasing a game, bringing on Mario, Johnson and Lambert isn't gonna cut the mustard against the likes of Chelsea

Liverpool have overpaid for players for many, many years. Transfers by committee are likely to see this continue.

City will be happy enough. Chelsea lost a couple to injury and the legs will be heavy for a few days. Great game. Both teams could have had men sent off. Mario is clean useless.

Courtois best player in both games says it all.

Himself and Hazard are Chelsea's 2 world class players. It's stating the obvious but Hazard was in a different league to everyone else on the pitch, though Can stuck at it well, and even got the better of him in extra time.

Lallana would surely be a better option than Mario or Ricky.

No complaints about that. Had by far the better chances over the two legs but couldn't take them and let one of their big defenders go free from six yards to pick his spot with a header. It ultimately didn't matter, but why the hell would you put Balotelli in to mark someone at a corner or free?

Hopefully they can lift it for West Ham at the weekend and it won't be yet another 0-0 at home.
