Is it true that all money GAA brings in, 83% goes back out again to clubs etc.
Is that the start?

Kenny claimed that it would not have been a red card tackle in his day, therefore it wasn't a red card tackle.Quote from: J70 on May 11, 2024, 11:12:56 PMQuote from: Main Street on May 11, 2024, 01:30:35 PMDominating this game.
The ' eejit Kenny on co-commentary who repeatedly claimed Lundstrom's red was not a red.
What a nutcase!
Just watching the highlights there.
WTF is Miller on about??
You'd swear there were ten leg-breaking tackles like that every day the way he's going on.
Absolute bellend!
In fairness, rangers manager was unequivocal about it saying it was red and a bad tackle. Bizarre stuff from Miller.

No away supporters in so it should be hell for them. Especially important to start with intensity to get the crowd rocking.
Then nick an early goal.
The problem is with VAR it doubles the chances for them to get another penalty and also to give a red card to a Celtic player. It's very likely to happen especially if the game is tight. Tavernier has had a world record 20 penalties this season, he's scored a world record 15 penalties and missed a world record 5 penalties. Most of those have been extremely dodgy but have been awarded by VAR.Typically similar incidents against them have been ignored as they don't get penalties given against them.

Another "it's their time", "greater need" analysis.
Which I think is fair enough, but it's pressure.
Reminds me of Derry in 1993, when Tohill ploughed through the muck and the Donegal backs to drag them to the title and AI shot they felt they'd fail to grab the previous year, which is why I am a little worried about men like Rian O'Neill being particularly driven!
Will never know how big Tohill stayed on his feet throughout the game, men bouncing off him while all around him, both Derry and Donegal men were sliding and slipping all around him. Still the best individual performance I've ever seen.
Philly McMahon would have given the MotM to someone else if he was Co commentator
Quote from: screenexile on May 09, 2024, 10:41:47 PMIt's a military exercise now I've heard of clubs mapping out housing estates and hitting an area 2-3 times to make sure they get everyone.
An Antrim club appeared 3 nights in Ballinascreen the week before last... they've been raving about how well they've been received. To be fair our people would be good at supporting any GAA draw and we get plenty of visitors because of that.
I know you feel bad not buying but we're all grown men and women if we don't want to buy a ticket we don't have to!!

Quote from: ClubScene13 on May 09, 2024, 03:19:54 PMThey're a frustrating outfit are Cork. They'll probably give this a good rattle and ultimately lose by a couple - then beat Tipp when the pressure is off - leaving another 6 months of chatter of being not that far away.
The best of the U20 All Ireland winning teams need ushered in ASAP - it needs done even if it meant a dip for a year or two. The current players in that team that are 30+ have had more than enough chances. In fairness I think Ben Cunningham would have easily started this year but for injury. Other than Joyce and Connolly not many have made an impact.
They've never been that terrible over the years but clearly never close to winning the big prizes either. The appetite is still there from the public down there as seen by attendance expected on Saturday night. I think they are good for the game when they're motoring well.
